Hi everyone. I went to the mall today and bought some more Dreamcast games while I was there (I have 60 now! :) ). Two of the games I bought were Carrier and Blue Stinger.

I've played each game for about 30 minutes each so far, just to see what they're like. From what I've played of both games, they're both great and highly under-rated. I can't wait to play through them.

My question is, though, which game do you think is better? Give some reasons why you like one more than the other, and if you hate both games, let me know why!

Blue Stinger was an ok game, Carrier really sucked ass though.

I liked blue stinger when there was no games out for the dc , now its kinda boaring.
I bought carrier when it came out and it really is just a sad wannabe resident evil.
Poor control fairly bad graphics and just not very fun.
Of the two I think Blue Stinger is definatly the better game. Its much more refined , controlls well and looks decent considering its age.

I haven't played either, but I've heard better things about Blue Stinger, I haven't heard anything particularly good about them though.

I like both games.

The US version of Blue Stinger is far better than the import, they fixed the horrid camera system, it was REALLY annoying in the import.

Carrier is a good game too, I'd say I like carrier a little better.

If you like survival horror also get Alone in the Dark 4 on DC, although it's kind of hard to find now I think... I got mine on release day, it's an awesome game, amazing CG scenes.

Carrier was very short and not much of a challenge, but it provided great atmosphere, nearly as much as Resident Evil 1.

The googles feature was brilliant!

I also liked deep fear, but my most favourite in those is System Shock 2. This one was scary!

Thanks for your feedback everyone.

I must say, though, that I'm not really sure why almost all of you dislike Carrier. I'm only an hour and thirty minute into the game, but so far I think this game is great!

The weird thing is, though, I'm not really into survival horror games. I've played the Resident Evil games, just like everyone else, but I never really got into them. But Carrier is just completely engrossing me right now.

The story, setting, and the atmosphere are really great. I think being stranded on a huge boat in the middle of a storm that's heading towards the US while infected with some zombie mutation virus is an incredible setup. I don't consider it a RE rip-off, becuase it does do alot of new things. Like someone else mentioned, the goggles are frickin' brilliant. I also think that the combat controls are alot simpler, since you can see where you're aiming with the lit target and you can change weapons without opening up a menu.

I dunno, I'm just loving this game right now.

I haven't played anymore of Blue Stinger yet, but from what I played it didn't seem to emphasize on horror. Is it more of an action-oriented game than a real survival horror game?

Oh, and my GameStop has a copy of Alone in the Dark 4 for DC brand new at $19.99. Still a bit pricey if you ask me, but I'll try Toys R Us. Thanks for the recommendation guys!

I think they both suck. Blue Stinger is just so damn corny it's sad. Carriar is pretty bad, too. It seems like a complete rip-off of Resident Evil. There is no sence fear in the game because there is too much interacting with NPCs. It plays way to much like an old-school FPS, which I guess isn't a bad thing if your looking for something like that, but definitly not up to ranks with some of the better survival horror games out there.

Blue Stinger was fun as an import when there were only like 10 games out for the system. I thought that it was really funny at points. I saw that game going down in price really quick so I sold it along time ago.
Carrier just plain old suked. I thought that the story was rediculious (But f you like this game i recomend extermination for PS2) and there was too much NPC interaction (not as bad as MGS2).

Both games had too many problems. Both had HORRIBLE controll (but so did RE and Tomb Raider). The comments are nothing new but they are more input.

I would put blue stinger a notch over carrier.

I really liked BLUE STINGER :

One very important thing about Blue Stinger you have to remember is that the gameplay is very SOLID , the developers really put alot of work into this game . The music is very good it has a "John Williams" feel to it . The story was FANTASTIC , during the game it generally ceases to make any sence but when you complete the game everything makes sence , Big twist ending .

VERY IMPORTANT :

***** semi spoiler ******

When you become a monster make sure to go to the puddle of water in the room filled with plants .
you will get a great scene you wouldnt normally get

Did System Shock 2 even come out on the DC? I heard it was killed at the last minute just like DC Half-Life.
