Has anyone here played Virtua Striker 2002 for Gamecube? I'd like to know you're thoughts. Keep in mind that I disliked the DC and previous arcade versions as it's VIRTUAlly unplayable.

Second, can anyone confirm if ISS2 is coming to XBOX in North America? A friend mentioned this to me and videogames.com has it as coming on June 30. I thought that North American were going to be deprived of the updates to the N64 classic and now I hear differently.

Thanks for all your help.

ISS 2 is coming to XBOX in america, you can pre-order it at EB, David Beckham Soccer is also coming to XBOX.

Virtua Striker 2002 rules, you can now curve the ball when you kick it, it's much better.

If you give Virtua Striker 2002 some time, it's coming to XBOX as well, because Sega Soccer Slam is getting released on XBOX in a month or two (another seemingly gamecube exclusive).

Then there is no point in getting a gamecube, as I am mainly a Sega/SNK games person :)

And the occasional Capcom games.

VS3 is BETTER than the previous versions. I have put a lot of time into it, and that's my conclusion. They improve the game system alot, not only that players shirts and shoes are now detailed as ever.

All the shoes are really cool, coz they got official adidas license, so everything adidas in the game is just like the original. Oh, back to gameplay, it is now harder to score goals from crosses unlike the previous versions where you can just whip a cross in and someone will head the ball for sure.

My favorite soccer series has been the ISS games on N64, not the PS1 incarnations. The problem is that neither of the two is available in North America on any of the current systems.

hum, id like to know where you were told virtua strikers 2002 will make its way to xbox...havent seen anything on that...

as for seemingly gamecube exclusive, i dont know, out of the cube games i have (8), they say Only For in the top left corner, with exception to spider man and soccer slam, spider man which is multiplatform, as the same thing ive seen can be said of other titles in stores, i think its because sega had planned to leave soccer slam open for other consoles...i havent gotten my VS2k2 game in yet, so i dont know what it says, but so far...the Only for tag seems pretty accruate to me...

I bought virtua striker 3 for gamecube a week or so ago, it is hard to review this one.

Firstly the player control is much improved and thank the lord, the speed of the game has been slowed down......this makes it easier to string more than 2-3 passes, also the control overall is more like an ISS game than ever. Also I love the new player fatigue system, this adds a lot of strategy and of course now you can make substitutions.

I havent tried the new "strategy" management part of the game.

But what I will say is this, although there are still some pretty recognisable players. The simalarity has really been toned down. Also the names of players bear absolutely no resemblance to real names. This really sucks.....I mean how hard is it to make Ronaldo into say Reanalmo or whatever......instead he has a completely different name!! I guess Nintendo are paranoid. I also like the new training mode, again shades of ISS.

Just to compare the 2 I put on my dreamcast version of virtua striker, and man......I was shocked. This was when it really hit me.....

The graphics on the dreamcast of course were astonishing, and the gameplay of course was fairly lousy. Basically the gamecube graphics look dull and drab, while the dreamcast is amazingly bright and vibrant graphics and replays and overall better presentation and this isnt just in comparison.

The gamecube version though has no cheap goals, and also like the dreamcast version all the goals are different.......you cant just score the same goal.

Overall the gamecube version is much better as a game to play, more fun and challenging

But the dreamcast version is the best looking soccer game ever, and also due to its gameplay the most disappointing.

Finally both games suffer one poor touch, all too often in Midfield the game can degenerate into a scrappy tackle-a-thon....that is unless you are great at passing and the ball over the top

ISS pro 2 on the gamecube is a very good game. Again for some reason Nintendo seem paranoid about players looking too simaler to their real life counterparts. The game flows well like an ISS game.....but again the graphics should have been a lot better. I mean the same game on playstation 2 is much better looking

In a nutshell.....both ISS2 and virtua striker 3 are recommended.

HAs anyone played Fifa2002 on gamecube????

Thanks for the assist, Mikhail. You've really helped me a lot. What version is the ISS2 on the current systems? The N64 games or the Pro Evolution games. I've always loved the N64 version, best soccer games I've ever played.

VS3 is great but it's a blast playing against a friend.

Does anyone know if FC Sega are unlockable in VS3?

I don't think so, I've played the Ranking Mode to death and never see them coming. Only team that are unlockable: FC Sonic and YukiChan.

Yeah I also played ranking mode a lot. I was hoping something would get unlocked after 100pts. I wonder why they keep ading the points to your total if there's nothing else to unlock?
