If you like football/soccer at all, I suggest you check this game out. It's incredible! I cannot believe all the depth in this game. From the huge training modes, the great adjustment that can be made with entire teams/formations/defense/offense/etc is incredible. It has great audio options (anouncers can be neutral, for the player, for home, etc as well as the crowd). There's tons of skills to do, and even a player/team edit mode that is just tops. I made a few characters (friends of mine) and they look almost as if they're really in the game. My friend Mike looks JUST like what I've made, as do I. It's incredible.

If you're playing FIFA2003... hey, good for you. It's an okay game. But, this game beats the living shit out of it and more. Fifa has what, 9 stats per character? WE6FE has over 30. Things that FIFA would never dream of doing such as teamwork ratings between characters even!

I have the last two Fifas, Perfect Stiker and this now. I will never touch the others ever again. I've never played a WE game before, but let me tell you, it's an incredible game.

you didn't check WE:6 ? it looks even more realistic but the control is a little bit harder. final evolution was a good step to improve the gameplay (try using R2 and L2 to control the ball. it's fun and it will help a lot in FE)

Which would get you what, exactly? If it were fifa licenced? It's already got all the real players.

Good news that GC winning eleven is class, i knew it would be.

The stats in it are from Championship manager, the worlds most popular PC game ever, so they are just as worthy as fifa stats.

If the game is licensed by FIFA, then all the jerseys will be authentic.

Ah, thanks for the info, Ray. Well, I could care less about the jerseys when the game is this sweet. I know that sounds stupid, but it's true. wink Sweet ass game. drool_2

I love playing as France, but to be honest, I'm into USA. I've made three characters for the team (me and two friends). One of the friends is a GK, and he's actually the worst of the three GKs on the team. However, I still play him, and he's got the best D. Making me as a striker and what not helps out a great deal. I haven't made the chars super powerful, and so we're still the underdogs. Still, I can do well with them at times.

Also enjoy playing England David Beckam is god.

My fav team is England coz of D.B.

I always scored from free kicks with him (95% success rate), and also from corners.

For the PS2... NOT for the GCN. I have the GCN version, BTW.

There's no word that a GCN us release is even going to happen, sadly. Well, not sadly for me, I already have it. wink

The great thing about winning eleven games has been how the different country versions feature different team rosters, players and radically gameplay as well.

for this reason on PS1 I always bought both Jap and Euro versions.

The greatness of this series was a real dark horse.FIFA had ruled from 1993-98.Die hards would pooh pooh the idea of FIFA being any good.

I never forget sitting down with my 6ft7 16 year old cousin to play ISS pro98 and lisetening to him
trash it initially and then go home thinking it was teh best thing.

Most people on the UK soccer scene thought the same. But now it is huge!

You really gotta follow euro football to apreciate how real to life each player seems to be.

The game is indeed one of the best game ever released wink
Comparing it to fifa like comparing toyota with lexus

In PS1 versions fifa won in sound and graphic departments. WE won by far in gameplay (and that what matters)

In PS2 versions WE outleague fifa in all areas

WE still isn't as good as Fifa in music and crowd noises. But, beyond that, it's tops. The players, while they don't look as realistic, look just as good (if not better) in their own way in WE6. Don't EVEN get me started on gameplay compared to the two. With ALLLLLL the options that WE has, it just beats FIFA to death. Sad, really.

If only WE had a bit better chants. Overall, it's still incredible. I guess that's what patches are for. wink

Easily becoming one of my top 10 games ever made. I can get so happy with this game, and minutes later so pissed off. That's a sign of a great game. You cling to it, and live the game as if you're actually there playing/managing the team.

If you like Soccer, shame on you for not trying this game yet.

Well its just cosmetic really: apart from jerseys, you don't get authentic club names, flags, stadiums....
Well you can actually edit them...infact there's a patch out there done by europeans and south americans.
They went as far as to do custom ad billboards, soundtracks, and chants..
