Well let's quick review. Lately we saw:

-An old geezer bite the dust (just an angle mind you)
-A gold freak got electrocuted damn near half to death on Monday night (just an angle mind you)
-A young beautiful woman was knocked out unconscious with a steel chair "on accident" by Chris Jericho (just an angle mind you)

Seriously though, I feel WWE is getting better from what we saw 1, 2 months ago. The action/writing's getting better. Hell, Raw to me is watchable these days. That says a lot to me. 5 months ago I couldn't stomach Raw. Now it's getting better week in week out.

Looks like Booker T is on the singles circuit raise again. Good for him and the fans.

New talents like Nathan Jones (the ex jailsman heavyweight bench presser), Sean O'Haire (he's back... with a new gimmick), Brian Kendricks (trained by Shawn Michaels himself, he was the dude who Paul Heyman pawned into the Undertaker's grasp last week on Smackdown), etc.

Plus Tough Enough III winners Matt and John.
And also we got this Eric Bischoff Countdown thing going on.

OH YEAH--- some bald dude by the name of STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN is returning!
Gimme a hell yeah!
And of course, The Rock and Hogan have returned.

HHH has Batista, Flair and Orton now with him and they call themselves an "Evolution.."
Lots of good stuff happening with the WWE lately.

And Shawn Michaels still rocks... did you see that Sweet Chin Music on Jeff Hardy last Monday Night? DAAAAMN!

I agree that RAW is getting better week by week albeit very slowly. Booker T getting back into singles competition is a big plus in my book although the Booker T/Goldust duo was one of the most entertaining aspects of the past few months.

The "evolution" stable seems to be heading in the right direction especially with Flair in their corner and the possible inclusion of the man beast Rhyno when he returns in a few weeks. This whole Jeff Hardy mess however is sadly going nowhere.

Why don't they just trade him to Smackdown! already? It's pretty obvious he needs some decent competition since RVD (or should I call him Mr. Spot Fest?) alone just isn't cutting it. Stone Cold's return at No Way Out will no doubt revive the WWE in some way, but the only question is for how long?

I just hope the rumors of him heading to Smackdown! instead of RAW are false. I mean, SD! already has Benoit, Angle, Guerrero, Undertaker, Edge, and Hogan as main-eventers. While RAW only has Triple H and the guy who forgot how to wrestle; Scott Steiner.

Hopefully though, Stone Cold's return will be the turning point for the WWE. For the sake of pro wrestling and the WWE, I hope it is.

Yeah, wrestling is getting better these days. Not to mention Smackdown is totally kicking all ass (with the exception of a few stinkers like Rikishi and John Cena...).

Yeah Booker T is the man and I'm fucking happy as hell to see Stone Cold come back.

Looks like the Rock is turning heel, not sure I like that much. Still it is picking up!

Peace

I think Goldberg for some weird reason is still under WCW contract, as crazy as that sounds (since WCW is now in fact defunct)

But that's what the "boys in the back" are saying... lol, to use a wrestling phrase.

Rarehero... hmmm I forgot about that... that really is sad that Austin did what he did.

Goldberg refuses to work for WWE. He's not a big wrestling fan, so he's really looking for a big payday without having to do much work. He won't be a full-time attraction. He might wrestle the Rock at Wrestlemania, but only if the deal is JUST right for him, ie they give him ridiculous money and he only has to work Wrestlemania.

It has been getting a hell of a lot better. I went to the house show in NYC last weekend and it was sweet. I really like the new stable with Triple H, it is about damn time a stable popped up to take nWo's place. I'm so glad Raw is worth watching again.

Frankly, I can't stand the spotfests put on by guys like Benoit and Angle. I demand old-school wrestling! I demand a return to the days of ten-minute headlocks and stalling to beat the band!

I demand Sammartino/Graham 90-minute draw matches! I demand the Old World Order, containing Zbyszko (sp?), Sammartino, Graham, and led by the bionically-reanimated corpse of Lou Thesz. Or Lou Thesz' brain in a robot body. They could come out in matches and put both guys in headlocks for 20 minutes. Imagine the amount of booking time they could save by only having to book one match (save your "hurr hurr hurr thats what tehy do now lol lmao" jokes to the end, please).

Or, they could take that further and hire Akira Toriyama to book. Imagine every match taking up 7 shows and being essentially both guys grunting for 20-minute intervals while they randomly cut to a backstage scene or something. Then, as they're about to lock up, they go off the air and build suspense. :D

Goldberg WILL likely be wrestling for the WWE sometime very soon. He has officially met with Vince McMahon within the past month or so, and has visited The Rock and talked to him personally. Looks like they're trying to set up a Rock vs Goldberg fight at Wrestlemania at the soonest. This is official news and not a rumour.

Check out some sites like 411wrestling.com and wrestlingdotcom.com for more info.

I think I read somewhere that Goldberg is wanting around 2 million plus for just two matches. It will be interesting to see though if the WWE is actually willing to spend that much for him. It's kind of funny in a way. Here's a guy who has zero wrestling ability, zero respect for the business, and zero respect for the guys who have given their life to the business.

But as Goldberg himself has said; he was in the right place at the right time in WCW. Talk about amazing booking. Oh well, I think the plan for now is if the WWE can't sign Goldberg by Wrestlemania, they will just go with The Rock vs Stone Cold for the show. Which, in my opinion, would be a much better business deal.

Supposedly that whole mess w/ Debra was made up. I still have to look into it, but supposedly the charges she brought against him were thrown out as bullshit.

It was kinda fishy if think about it, I mean as soon as he leaves the WWE she wants a divorce and says he beat her (aka she wants what money he's got left). If he did beat her then seriously he needs a real ass whoopin, if not and she's lying about it, well I think we'd have to send Chyna to kick her ass! loco

About Stone Colds dispute with his wife. Its true. It happened. I saw footage of a interview with him at the court hearing and he said that they had since made up and the he was ready to move on. He ended up getting community service I believe. As far as raw getting better, I agree with that. They're getting better storylines going. However Smackdown has suffered badly since the split into two groups. I hate it like this. I dont get to watch Raw hardly so I dont get to see all the wrestlers anymore. It sucks big time. Smackdowns storylines are so corny now that I have a hard time watching a whole show anymore. And the wrestling has gotten bad. there may be one match the whole show thats worth watching and the rest of the time you got the backstage drama. This Hogan vs Rock business is pathetic. I think they had something going with Brock but its lost momentum. It is good to see the Undertaker back but the Brother Love thing was sad. I did laugh at the spoof on the Nike commercial though. I just want to get back to the extreme wrestling and comic releaf of Stone Cold and Curt Angle together. And what happened to the Hard core title? And what happened to women wrestling on Smackdown? Very sad. frown

really?
i find it hard to believe.
being in the 10 oclock news locally and in the papers.
what makes me mad is that these wrestlers arent
as dumb as they make appear to be.
and to belittle something like a wife beating charge
doesnt make it better.
whatever. i m sure we ll hear more about it later.

On smackdown there was one dude streaking
lol

That was funny as hell. That was Brian Kendricks (see my original post) who's trained by Shawn Michaels himself. He's a little guy, no pun intended... um wrong choice of words...

He's a cruiserweight! There ya go. He wrestled 3 times on Velocity under a mask and switched names each week. He was:

DiamondBack (beat Sho Funaki in a hell of a match)
The Jet (beat Shannon Moore)
Something I forgot (lost to A-Train)

He can flat out wrestle, and fly, and take bumps. He's going to be fun to watch wrestle, believe me.

As for Mr. Perfect, he was fired I believe, and I doubt he'll ever come back. I was severely disappointed with his comeback, he seemed to be in decent shape for a man his age, but the fans just didn't react to him like they used to. And this is a guy who was alway from WWE for YEARS! And to boot, his matches were crap.

He's actually in a promotion called NWA-TNA, which is another incarnation of the National Wrestling Alliance. (WCW formed from the most significant territories, I believe, when Ted Turner bought them from Jim Crockett.)

The new NWA is co-owned by Jeff Jarrett and his father Jerry, and basically features pretty much every US star who didn't go to WWE when WCW folded. So you have the Jarretts, K-Krush (now known as Ron "The Truth" Killings), Ken Shamrock (with crazy mutton chops loco ), Sonny Siaki, Jimmy Yang (aka Yun Yang, protege of Kaz Hayashi), and various indy guys (Spanish Announce Team, Low-Ki, A.J.Styles), as well as various WWE castoffs (Hennig, Russo, Road Dogg, Syxx-Pac).

The problem with this organization is that their weekly show is a $9.95 pay-per-view. :p So, I don't give them much longer.

The way I heard the outcome of the case, he plea=bargained, and the terms were pretty much

)one year probation
)can't drink beer
)can't leave his home county without permission from a judge (I think)

That said, I'm not surprised Vince took Austin back--he needs someone who can draw, and he'd sign Jack the Ripper to a 2-year deal if he thought it'd get him viewers/PPV buyers.

But it's not like I'm telling you anything you don't already know. wink
