Tora Kouhi:
Oh god. #-_-

The only good remix I liked was Smooth Criminal
the original had guitar mixed in with it... especially live.

That is why it worked so well.....

In Germany I heard a techno.... YES TECHNO version of Van Halen's "Ain't Talking about Love"

The song went into the opening riff 1st.... then after that opening rif in which the rest of the band normally joins in you hear a......
THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP... (techno beat).

I was like... who screwed the song up... they need to be shot.

by Rod Stewart? loco

there was a dance version of Alphaville's Forever Young done in the early to mid-90's featuring another 80's singer Laura Braniggan. actually not bad since it had an 80's remix sound to it.

the van halen cover renamed "aint talkin 'bout Dub" is by Apollo 440.

Do you have any release info? I am interested in tracking that remix down.

the laura braniggan version is actually similar to the official 1988 remix of Forever Young only with her vocals.

one of the worst dance remix of 80's hits has to be Tainted Love by who the fvck even cares. it's not even danceable or rythmically good. at least the trance covers of 80's hits are semi decent but the Tainted Love one sounds like someone just got a new drum machine and was trying to make a hard beat....out of sync.

I don't know which remix it is ( or who's it is ), but I don't really care either , because it sucked. Like half the music was missing... very_ang

I heard that Tainted Love , too... very_ang

I hear these 80's dance-remixes more and more, but there's one thing worse:

When they use the 80's song as the base of a new, really bad song. Example : "Can't get you out of my head" ... blow_top

EDIT : messed up UBB tags

I heard this drum and bass remix of a popular song that was fucking dope a couple weeks ago. Can't remember the name though.

I'll have to think about it... very_ang

The Tainted Love remix I didn't mind, but there's this megamix we have at work.. I don't know who did it but whoever did needs to be beaten severely.

They mixed together "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "I Love Roxk n' Roll", "You Shook me all Night Long", along with other 80's and 70's classic rock. I heard some Lynard Skynard riffs in there along with.. the beat from a Milli Vanilli song?? And the saddest part of all.. the song's like 30 minutes long. very_ang

The "Flash" Queen remix about to hit the charts is terrible also.

DJ's and remix money-men have no shame.

I've lost count over the republished and "remastered" crap we get over in the UK, best thing is just not to buy it and many some bright spark will stop making them blow_top
