What do I need to make my own movies like Dr.NeoGeo?

so i was checkin out that new intro movie again that Dr.NeoGeo made, and thoughtd itd be fun to learn to do something like that myself.

What kind of software is required to do it???
is it gonna take me a long time to learn how to do it?
Any general details on the process would be cool, thanks a lot.

its a flash movie.
you ll need macromedia flash to do it.

You could use pretty complex editing software to do it; but to achieve a lot of the effects, Flash coupled with photoshop and illustrator [to actually MAKE the graphics] is 1000x easier.

aight, that sounds good, ill give flash a try.
went onto their site and see this thing for MX, looks cool, is this what im looking for?
if i just download macromedia flash, will i be able to make movies or is it just a player?

You can download the program that lets you build movies, but it is most likely a 30 day trial. Of course, there are cracks out that will make it a full version. wink

In order to make movies like Dr. NeoGeo you'd preferrably need Macromedia Flash, Adobe Illustrator, and a wealth of trance music CDs.

In order to make (good)Flash movies you just need the first two. :)

forget avi and mpg - they can help you put movies in file formats that people can view, but they'd be huge.

A flash movie will have substantially smaller file sizes. Especially if you stick to vector graphics and not bitmaps.

Flash is not too hard once you get the hang of the timeline.
