I want to import Soul Calibur II but my only option is Gamecube since Playstation conversions are too expensive and Xbox conversions will prevent me from going online. So if any one could please direct me towards a diagram to install a switch I'll be eternally in your dept. I have an American system btw and please do not suggest the freeloader disc .

This might help, although it's the other way around Jap to USA

Those points are tiny if you know how to do soldering, it would be easy. Use 32 gauge wire. If not, send it to Cart-mart.com or some other company.

I think NCS also does the mod...Also you can use the freeloader disc...

It's only $20 US and you don't have to mod your system...

Sonic1687 can also do the soldering.

Solid, haven't seen you for a long time. Got arrested somewhere?

go buy the free loader from your local EB or gamestop. It's like $20.

Modding the US gamecube is a little tricky. definitely not the same as modding a Japanese one.

From what I understand (and don't quote me on this), the difference in modding the Jap 'Cube and the US one is merely a one jumper difference; that is, instead of soldering a switch to R6 for the Japanese one, do R5 instead.

This link might be of help.

I'm really tempted to try this, but the problem is I've got no cube at all!

Just get the free loader. You wouldnt want to mess the warranty if you so happen to mess up.

Just glad I could be of service, Solid.

And Liquid, the day of 'cube ownership will come. Almost certainly after money.
