Just wondering, because all the ones I see on eBay are bootlegs by Ever anime.

Tip - be cautions when buying from a seller called 'gk-world.com' - a seller of boot cd's.

So is there a REAL authentic version by Capcom? or does it only exist as a bootleg?

Just FYI, the soundtrack isn't listed on CD Japan (although they did have the Shin Contra soundtrack, thanks again for that Verbatum) and the version that IS listed on gameusic.com is the same version I have, which is the bootleg. The audio quality isn't all that bad to begin with, theres just a few select moments where you can hear it take a momentary dip, and I'm fairly certain its on all the short "in-between" tracks and none of the actual stage music.

Yep, i've had my OST for some time now. Actually, just yesterday I copied a few songs on to my Xbox so I could listen while playing Project Gotham. (Can't wait for Project Gotham 2!)

I'd be careful buying from them. I was just browsing their site and I noticed for one, their prices are WAY too good to be true. If you buy a true Japanese CD, it will generally run you $20 on up, before shipping. Ever Anime is a bootleg company. Several of the listings in gkworld.com were listed as products with EA part numbers, EA being Ever Anime. I also saw several SM part numbers for sale, SM being SonMay, yet another Hong Kong bootleg CD company. HO part numbers, while I am not entirely sure what the company is, come from a company in Taiwan. Japanese CDs never come from a place other than Japan; SM and EA are located in the bootleg capitol of the world, Hong Kong.

Anyone that sells these CDs is a company I would stay away from. $10 for a true Japanese CD is far too good to be true, even used in most cases.

If you believe what you have bought from them to be a true Japanese release, then I'm glad you didn't get ripped off. Just be extra careful buying from them if you don't want boot legs.
