Wow not every celebrity who comments on the war is an idiot! eek!

Dennis Miller comments on Iraq.

All the rhetoric on whether or not we should go to war against Iraq has got my insane little brain spinning like a roulette wheel.

I enjoy reading opinions from both sides, but I have detected a hint of confusion from some of you.

As I was reading the paper recently, I was reminded of the best advice someone ever gave me. He told me about the kiss method (keep it simple, stupid!). So, with this as a theme, I’d like to apply this theory for those who don't quite get it.

My hope is that we can simplify things a bit and recognize a few important facts. Here are 10 things to consider when voicing an opinion on this important issue:

1) Between President Bush and Saddam Hussein... Hussein is the bad guy.

2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing, keep this in mind: they have Libya heading the committee on Human Rights and Iraq heading the Global Disarmament Committee. Do your own math here.

3) If you use google search and type in "French Military Victories," your reply will be: "did you mean French Military defeats?"

4) If your only anti-war slogan is "no war for oil," sue your school district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the education you deserve.

5) Saddam and Bin Laden will not seek United Nations approval before they try to kill us.

6) Despite common belief, Martin Sheen is not the President. He only plays one on TV.

7) Even if you are anti-war, you are still an "infidel" and Bin Laden wants you dead, too.

8) If you believe in a "vast right-wing conspiracy," but not in the danger that Hussein poses, quit hanging out with the Dell computer dude.

9) We are trying to liberate them. He is trying to kill us.

10) Whether you are for military action or against it, our young men and women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. We all need to support them without reservation.
Micheal Moore should take some notes from this. shame

And that's the bottom line. Fuck anyone that thinks differently. :D

No kidding. I like Dennis Miller and think he's quite funny and intelligent, but he generally makes such vague references to shit I have no clue about that it's somewhat hard to follow him at times.

That above however, is precise and to the point. Well thought out comments for all the idiots to chew on. There just isn't much arguing it.

Dennis Miller used to be my comedic idol.

He's still good and acerbic and funny and all,

But he's too 'preachy' and full of it now.

Not that I disagree with the above rant, but when he was on 'Politically Incorrect' he seemed almost irrational.

And it's always been his pragmatic hard ass sarcasm that I loved,

...And to me- Irrational and Pragmatic don't mix.

Wow, I never really liked Dennis Miller, I always found him rather annoying.

After reading that I have alot more respect for the man. I think he stated his point beautifully, and I agree with him.

Do you have the original link from that Hendrix?

neobuyer,

You and I think so similarly sometimes its scary. I loved his HBO show for the first 2 years it was on (I watched it religiously). He's even more bitter now that he got uncerimoniously booted off MNF (my favorite joke headline of that was "Dennis Miller 'Sadder than Bulgakov at a Stalinist Rally' After Losing Monday Night Football")

Like so many of his alums, he's still not ready for prime time :D

Still, his points are usually witty, and this time they were because he kept it simple.

Yeah, it's like he's this sort of knee-jerk scared family man now.

I still like him, but it's not the same, I kind of like him at arm's length now or something.

But I can still go and read the first two 'Rants' books and laugh my ass off.

Super Porky:
I can't believe HBO cancelled him for that douch Bill Maher.
Heck Miller's better than most of the idiots on late TV overall anyhow. However, I can't really see him ever going to prime time... the self censorship he'd have to do with his witty remarks and usage of profanity which actually is in good taste is his trade mark, and putting him on regular TV would be like having a dog Neutered. Didn't know Maher won out over him though, that's too bad... hell I've got more talent in lighting a fart versus Maher does spewin off at the mouth. Good to see Miller getting the word out none the less though. :D

I like George Carlin a lot, but I feel like every thing he says now is the same exact thing from the late 80s. He was fun. Now he's old.

Dennis Miller was a sell out since he bombed MNF. Bill Maher has been dead since he questioned Bush's diplomacy in the China spy plane debacle. He just got really unpopular really fast. I actually watched his show on ABC all the time, so it was like watching him whither away. Actually, he really shows his age now compared to 2 years ago, looks like he's going to literally die any day now... Michael Moore? Never cared about him. He must have balls of steel though.

He hit it right on the nail with those comments. Although I was waiting for him to say:

"Hey cha cha, Saddam is like a barrel of monkies at a strip club watching Al Roker eat jelly beans from the tree of good and evil CHA CHA"

I remeber when I used to never understand his anologies and most of them sounded like the one above. Funny guy. :D

Good solid points.

Well, not that the anti-war folks will understand much of this since they for the most part have a brain the size of a peanut.
