I just got this game and after finally figuring out how to work the damn thing, I plopped the egg in. How long will it take for it to hatch and go through its stages or whatever? It's been a few days since I started.

What do you guys think of this game?

It usually takes a few days. It isn;t a bad game, more of a time waster then anything. Worth $10 to purchase I think

Check out a FAQ of it on gamefaqs, I forget how long it takes. There is a trick to speed up its growth, I forget how to do it but I know it involves setting the DC's internal clock ahead.

As for the game, I thought it was really fun. You can't really call it a game, its more of a virtual pet. You have to really good care of to, just like you would a real pet. Leave it alone and don't pay attention to it and it will start to hate you.

Once they grow up they become quite entertaining.

I got mine to hatch in like an hour.

You have to adjust the water temp and air percent.

It's been a while but keep the percent as close to 100 as you possibly can and the temp should be at 22 degrees at this stage...I think, I'm not sure.

My egg hatched within the first hour of playing. You have to keep the temperature in the blue range, I think it is 20 or so.

mine hatched within the first hour as well, its very easy and i can get them to evolve to the second stage (gilmen) eaily within the first day.

the temperature setting should not go past 19.9 by the way.

oh yeah, and highlander, saying this game is a time waister is just saying that every game is a time waister.

I bought Seaman for about 7 bucks awhile ago. It's more of a game that you keep in the background while you do something else. They only need to be checked on for about 10 minutes twice a day after the first day.

Ok, I started over and the Seaman hatched in about 6 minutes. The gamefaqs.com guides are very helpful. The little gillman only speaks in gibberish but that's ok. How long before we can have real conversations?
