First off, I must say Bonds is flat out amazing. Definitely the best baseball player of the past decade. Heck maybe of all time.

Did you see that homer he hit off Ted Lily at Yankees Stadium?

Bonds has 588 homers currently. Hank has 755.

... I say YES, he will break it. In the year 2006.

I've only watched baseball a couple of time, especially when Cardinals and Mariners played.

But to answer the question, yes, I think Bonds is able to brake the record. I've seen him hit those HRs, and man, gotta tell you that guy's amazing!

He should break 620+ by the end of this season, that's only if he hits like 40 too.

I mean it's Bonds, he's almost assured 40-50 a season.

I think so. At the rate Sammy Sosa is going, I wouldn't be suprised if he beats Bonds to the punch.

Mmm... baseball talk. So who wants to join a freakin' Neo-Geo.com fantasy league?

Evidentially nobody, based on past attempts...

And no, I don't think he'll break it. I just get the feeling that he won't be able to stay healthy enough over the next 3-4 years.

I hope he does because we would have another black hero in our day.

Yes Barry Bonds is a well rounded player with a high slugging % because of hits and mostly
walks.

He is a great ballplayer, but he is by NO MEANS the greatest of all time.

NO , and i'll tell you why.

When Jose Canseco's book comes out, he said he was listed all known steriod users. And since the baseball union's contract on "no drug testing" runs out in august, most players are gonna shrink. Barry Bonds will prolly be on that list. So even if he does beat the record, it means nothing if he tests positive for steroids.... I'd like to wait till august to see that drug testing go in effect....
