After a countless battle with Metroid Prime, I finallly beat the game. Here is a question I have, if you get 100%, is the ending really good or so different then just the ending I had? It seems with an experience I went through with that game, I was hoping the ending would of been somewhat better.

I beat it and all I got to see was a disturbingly ugly looking head of Samus. I had 86% of the scans.

I was not fond of the scanning option. At first it seems cool but, if you have to spend time choosing a different visor to scan an enemy and take hits, that seems to be stupid. That was one feature I didn't like at all. Hopefully they will either modify this option or have the game automatically scan it for you.

To be honest, the game was fantastic. A great experience to play and can't wait for part 2. I just wish the ending had a little more meat to it. Am I alone here about feeling this way?

Well, I enjoyed each of the three endings :)
This was one of those games I played FOR the gameplay, not the conclusion. So a quick ending is fine by me.

The 100% ending alludes to the sequel and what it'll be about though...

I'm not ragging on the game, I just think for a game, you invest over 20+ hours on average into would give you a better endingregardless of the percentage you have done. I think the game is a masterpiece but the ending was somewhat skimped over.

thats pretty true

i finished it with 98 percent and i still didnt see the hand ending (the other 2 percent was a energy tank which you had to bomb jump to get to - just could never do it)

still a great game - loads of life in it imo :)

Honestly, Metroid Prime was a masterpiece type of game. It had a great story, deep gameplay and alot of action.

My only real gripes about the game was the scanning visor and the ending of the game. Overall, I would give the game an 9 out of 10. The two things mentioned above is what held it back from a perfect score.

to be honest i kinda agree with you when it comes to everyday plants and bugs in the game

but scanning bosses to look for weakness and other information to me is a stroke of genius

like the rock monster - if you didnt scan that there is no chance you would ever beat it

same with loads of others

so it really plays its part in the game, when i finished it i must have scanned around 90 percent of the game - nore interested in blasting stuff :)

See, I guess im from the other side of the fence. I loved sitting around reading all the back-info on things like plants, rocks, etc. It was a good time..honestly!

It only helped bring me into the game

It's not that the scanning isn't a terrible idea, it's just that when you have to scan anything and everything to get a better ending in teh game. I guess the ending shouldn't be affected if you forget to scan a certain creature. That's all I'm saying.
