How dare you forget these? :)

* Super Castlevania IV
* Dracula X (not one of the best of the series, but... it's still frickin' Castlevania!)
* ActRaiser (sleeper-hit), ActRaiser 2
* Mega Man X series (worlds better than the shitty PSX games)
* Zelda (not a typical RPG...)
* Final Fight (in S-Video this game looks fantastic, although missing key arcade elements)

Ah yes, the wonderful SNES. Still my favorite system of all time. Anyway, here's a list of games that have been in my heart since their release.

Saturday Night Slam Masters- My favorite game of all time and a near perfect port of the arcade original. With the exceptions being some minor slowdown and several missing voice samples.

MK2- Still my favorite fighter of all time. I own every home version and I can honestly say that the SNES port is the most complete.

Killer Instinct- It's still considered one of the most amazing arcade-to-home ports ever created. Simple but amazing and huge combos, great AI, "killer" fatalities, and one of the best soundtracks to ever grace the SNES.

Sunset Riders- Arcade perfect, except for the fact that you can only use 2 characters at a time instead of 4. I've always considered it a western version of Metal Slug (only tougher).

I could go on and on, but these are just a few of the many SNES games I love. Now I feel like pulling out Final Fight wink .

Rock on SNES! buttrock buttrock buttrock buttrock

Games that I haven't seen mentioned so far...

DKC 1, 2, 3 - I think 2 is still the best of the bunch (followed by 3, then 1), but they are all *great* platformers that still hold up today graphically and musically. Phenomenal music - why don't more of Rare's games sound like this?

Pocky and Rocky 1/2 - fun top down "run around and shoot" games. Think really, really cute Shock Troopers...

Kirby Superstar - I haven't played this in a while, but I had a lot of fun with it. Not as long as it could be, but I loved the treasure hunt game. Challenging and interesting....

Super Adventure Island 2 - easily the best version of this game I've played. Picked it up for 10 dollars new years ago (with no prior knowledge) and loved it. Again, I was especially surprised by the quality music.

Tetris Attack - An absolutely money puzzle game. That's all there is to it.

That's what I can think of off the top of my head...

Many I would have mentioned have already been mentioned so I'll only add:

Super Star Wars: Tough as nails and an incredible game with some of the best music and sound effects samples ever on the system.

Demon's Crest: Beautiful graphics and haunting music with excellent action.

Blackthorne: Another game with Prince of Persia-style action, cool moody music and a no-look shotgun maneuver (way cool!)

Hehehe... I really don't like RPG's at all, but that one hooked me big time. I also tried the Genny Shadowrun. *LOVE* the storyline.

Yeah, that's the Jester Spirit from Shadowrun as my av. I was stuck between the Durandal Terminal logo from the marathon series or the Jester Spirit from shadowrun.

TEH J3ST3R SP1R17 OWNZZZ J000!!

lol

(First it's Nirwanda, then you find out it's laughlyn.)

Would you like a copy of 'New Luddite'?

Are you smoking crack ??

As more as I can be a SNES Fanboy, I never saw a single game that I could say "it's an arcade perfect".

Yes I have played it. I used to own it, and I used to have +/- 60 Snes games. None were arcede perfect although they were really good.

Back to topic :

Zelda III
Super Metroid
Axelay
UN Squadron ( Area 88 )
Castlevania IV
Super Probotector ( Contra )
S.Mario World
F-Zero buttrock

I think Super Butoden 2 is better than Hyper Dimension  In any case, these are ultimate SNES titles:

Super Castlevania 4
Super Punch Out
Dracula X
Super Metroid
Super Mario World/All-Stars
Donkey Kong Country
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
Super Mario Kart

shit, there's a lot of bomb games on the snes..

Props to Uniracers for whoever beat me to it, Bluevoodo was one...Uniracers: On my list of MOST under-rated games. It owns and owns well.

I see though, that we've missed ANOTHER highly under rated game (although Shadowrun and Rock n' Roll Racing were covered)...

You HAVE to give it up for Kirby's Dream Course.

MAN if there is a game that is SCREAMING for a sequal it's KDC.

The controls are super tight, the graphics are vintage faux-3D 2D and the game play is like a bad-ass combination of pool, croquet and golf.

I want a tattoo on my chest that says "KDC Life".

Have you even played the arcade version? I've spent more time playing it in arcades than any other game so I know what I'm talking about. If you have to be picky about it though, there is more pixilation in the SNES version as can be seen when sticks of dynamite explode. Sure, no arcade-to-SNES port is technically arcade perfect, but sheesh........
