Just re-bought an NES...

So yeah I finally got another NES last week since selling my old one about nine years ago. eek!

Just got a handful of games now...

Mario Bros/Duck Hunt
Kirby's Adventure
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Arkanoid
Volly Ball/Soccer
Rad Racer

All top games, for sure, and I know there are tons I need to get liek the other Turtles and Mario games, Mega Mans, Zeldas, and all that good stuff... but what are some other forgotten classics that I should keep an eye out for?

Metroid, Shadowgate, Super Spike V-Ball, NES World Cup Soccer, Tecmo Super Bowl and others.

However you may be interested in the WORST GAME EVER. Taboo by, of all people, Rare. It's not even a game, it just tells your fortune.

Trash.

Notable mention to Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. I have NO idea how to play it.

Metal Storm. Its quite the shooter, and it has something I've never really seen in shooter to this very day. You ride in a mech that can switch its polarity, making it gravitate toward the ceiling or the floor. Its actually one of the better shooters I've EVER played. I don't know how rare/common it is however.

yo noid is the shit.

you're all playing that one level and its going up and down underwater and those crazy fish are going nuts. and when you hit shit with noid's yo yo it just goes FLYING off screen like you hit it with the hand of god. why the fuck are you collecting scrolls in that game?

can't be beaten.

The worst part about this list is that I use to have 2 of those Arkanoid Controllers. Made the game much easier, but the reason that they are probably A+ rarity is that they were build like crap! Both broke within months of each other, but now I'm wishin I would have kept them anyways frown

I saw that game once when I was living in Greenbay. After finding out what it was I wish I had bought it. But I did get Tengen Tetris when I was there so it wasnt a total loss.

Has anyone noticed that most of the A+ rare games (besides the Prototypes) are the lame unlicensed games?

Man I really hated those games by colour dreams and all those other lamer companies. Once you've played one, your NES is scarred for life.

-Contra
-Super Contra (skip Contra Force)
-Kid Icarus
-Rygar (VERY GOOD!)
-Karnov (before he went Fighter's History Dynamite!)
-Yo-Noid was pretty good
-Totally Rad (I recall this being a cool game, made by Jaleco so it's difficult)
-Baseball Stars 2
-Double Dragon II
-Life Force

I have played River City Ransom a long time ago. That game really IS fun. I hope you try it some time. That game makes many games around now look terrible!!

Because they all STINK really bad - probably the reason Nintendo didn't license them in the first place!

The worst of the lot are those horrible Bible-related games by 'Wisdom Tree' and Wally Bear and the No gang..

These games are so horrible they will make you cry and have nightmares, so do yourself a favour and get the licensed games!
