I got this unit from a very good friend today , he was very reluctant to give it up but like I said he is a GREAT friend . I have never seen this color perhaps its common but I usually see it in silver of course I have seen the ICE Blue , Atomic Purple and Shocking Green variations but somehow this one just eluded me .

I have a Game Boy Light in that color. Though I don't recall seing a US version in that color. Probably a harder version to find.

I remember the GB Light being gold but wasnt it a lighter shade of gold ?

I have a gold gameboy. It was a Toys 'R US exclusive a coupe years back. It was a limited release and it is not being sold in stores anymore new( as far as I know).

Is it the same as the one I have pictured above ? and if so is the box exactly the same ?...usually TRU exclusives say so on the box with the big colorful TOYS-R-US logo somewhere on the front .

Because of the color being Gold and the limited quantity made this will become more valuable as time goes by.
It's a definite keeper.

My Uncle grabbed a few of these from Toys R Us awhile ago..
Funny he was just telling about them the other day when he was looking through some bins he has full of game related stuff.

I don't know if the box is the same though.
They may have that Toys R Us exclusive sticker on them.

Looks like that one, or pretty damn close.
