This is a video taken in 6000 feet of water.
An undersea robot is sawing a 3mm wide slit
(1/10th of an inch...remember that width) in a pipeline.
Inside the pipeline is normal atmospheric pressure
while the pressure outside is 2700PSI,
or 1.3 tons per square inch.


And then a crab walks by........

man the resolution on that was so bad i couldn't tell what it was. the thing looked like a fishtank, on a bed, with some sticks around it what the hell is that? oh well back to super sidekicks.

Not a lot of light down there, I believe they were filming in infrared, or at least using infrared enhancement.

hmmm. i think i know of another forum where bio posts... cause this just showed up there. :D

kim: it a video of a crab getting sucked through a slit in a pipe thats only 3mm wide.

edit: er...the slit is 3mm wide, not the pipe.

look at that video closely, right after the crab gets sucked in, you can still see it and that slit looks like its bigger than 3mm, but either way, that's still pretty damn amazing.

Heh, the video was all footage too...

I rather wanted Queen and David Bowie to do an "actual" real PV for the song when they first released it... Oh well.
