I just got one recently, the only games I've been play alot of so far are Doom and Shockwave 2, do any users that have these machines know if they could suggest some good titles for me? I know it got a good version of Street Figher 2 and Shamruai Showdown but what else is worth my time? Thanks

i have a pretty nice 3do collection.
Some goodies are:
6 player Fifa
Return Fire
Scramble Cobra
SSF2Turbo is a good game IHO, SS is best console v
Hell
Killing Time
Gex
Crash n Burn..an all time fav
Road Rash, best console version
Shockwave 2 has an awesome ending level.
NFS , the original

granted most of these titles are outdated , and the good ones were ported. Still a fun and cheap system to have.

Road Rash (violent racing to come again!)

Escape from Monster Manor (repetitive levels, but still creepy)

...and any other games by EA.

There are lots of decent 3DO titles out there

Road Rash
Return Fire also the Maps of Death add on cd
PGA Tour Golf
Star Blade
Twisted
Gex
Star Controll II
Killing Time
Flashback
Star Fighter
Po'ed
Icebreaker
The best Samuari Showdown port ever
Braindead 13
Dragons Lair
Space Ace
Alone in the Dark
Need for Speed
Way of the Warrior
Mad dog Mcree II get the gun to go with it
Off world Interceptor
Crash and Burn
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons : Slayer
Wing Commander
There are plenty more that are great games but thats all I can remember at the moment

Also get the Game Guru if you can find it , its worth hunting down { like a game shark }

here is a link that may help you with some incite into some of these titles http://www.geocities.com/planet3do/3domagreviews.html

If you can look past the graphics you will have lots of fun with most of the 3DO titles, there is some great gameplay to be had on the 3DO.

I got one a long time ago, here are some games suggestions:

FIFA: Good soccer game

Need For Speed: I still like this version better than ALL the subsequent sequel/pseudo-sequels of the series. That's really saying something

Road Rash: Incredible for its time, still worth a play today, although frame rate isn't the best at times

Return Fire: Fun RTS like game for 2 people

Lucienne's Quest: Only real RPG on the system, hard to find as it is very limited and released toward the end of its life.

Star Fighter: Excellent shooter, frame rate again kinda sux

SSF2T: Good game except the sucky static background

Star Control 2: awesome game

Foes of Ali: Really like this boxing game, not the best control but still fun IMO

Wing Commander 3: Great version of the game, really worth it if you enjoy space combat

I can't sing the praises of Star Control 2 enough. If you have a 3DO then you HAVE to have this game.

Also getting both Samurai Shodown, SSF2X, Wing Commander 3, Road Rash and Star Control 2 made Christmas 94 the greatest one in memory.

Cool, why is it always systems that have good games just don't get the mainstrem public eye, like in modern times the Dreamcast and Neo Geo Pocket oh_no

Causal gamers will be the end of us...but thanks for telling some titles I'll now be looking into :D

When i first played Samurai on it about 2 years back, i thought it was a pathetic shambles, but having dusted it off recently, ita actually quite nice, the sample are terribles, but it runs in a nice resolution and is perfectly playable.

As for SSF2turbo, its a must, it lacks any paralax, and is m rediculously windowed, but the soundtrackj is one of the all time greats and it plays like a dream.

Whatever you do under any circumstances play or buy "blood :a cyberpunk thriller" featuring the voices of Dennis Hopper and Grace Jones, its so bad i could never get off the first screen............i mean......real bad.

i dont get it.

howcome people say ssf2t is the best port on 3do if its windowed and has no parallax compared to the saturn one which has paralax and is full screen.

even the genesis one has some paralax.

Dont know, i presume the Saturn version is better than 3do version, but the sat version has very long load times (so ive heard), ill look into getting sat version.

DC version has to be best really.....if you can find it that is

Actually the game he is refering to is Hell : a cyberpunk thriller.

Its not bad , but can be frusterating in some spots , overall its worth a look.

Lucienne's Quest is a good rpg, I haven't seen it for sale anywhere though. Is the game rare? I have had it complete for quite awhile now.

You could mean "Return Fire", where you have four vehicles and have to capture the flag...wether u are or not, it is a true classic.

Well, there are lots of good titles mentionned. There's also "Twisted". It's a good multiplayer game which is kind of a Twist on game shows. There's also "Zhatnost: The People's Gameshow" which is sort of a sequel although Twisted is still the better one of the two. :) Zhatnost is, however, more competitive.

Yup,that's it! I don't know where the fuck I got"Conquer" from! All that I can remember about the game were tanks and "Ride of the Valkyries" being played while blowing the opposition to smithereens! Simply the best game for that shitty old system!
