well, I was originally planning on playing the gamecube version, but the no keyboard thing bugged me so I quit
now that after microsoft made an official statement stating that there wouldn't be a fee and then turns around, back-stabs everyone and says there will be a fee afterall, I don't know if I'll get it just for moral reasons...
oh well, at least you're getting two months instead of one month free and you'll have not only have just keyboard support, but voice chat as well... so i'll consider it...
oh yeah and whats up with the fucking concept of not being able to play offline without a valid xbox live account!? i never needed a valid seganet account to play it on dc last time i checked. that makes absolutely no sense at all. somewhere it was mentioned that this was done because the japanese version had it as well so they wanted to get it over to america as fast as possible, thus not taking the ten seconds to delete the stupid thing.
i don't care if in japan you would automatically have a valid xbox live account or not, just because they were buying the game with xbox live so they automatically have one, it's still fucking retarded to even bother to implament that...
microsoft mentioned that the reason for this fee was so that sonic team could update the game and yadda yadda yadda... well how come mech assaul tand every other xbox live game is going to have/already had updates and they didn't cost anything past the intial 50 bucks... this time around i have to say that sonic team can suck it... i mean the game doesn't even have a persistant world or anything even similar...
makes ya wonder if you could sue microsoft for lying since they stated again and again that after the initial $50.00, you'd never have to shell out even a penny for anything xbox live related ever again.
same goes for that seganet bull shit where you had to pay for certain games (was supposed to be all of them, but they fucked up). evne though i could completely understand why that happened, they still stated that everything was going to be free, so legally they had to keep it free unless ther ewas some fine print htat i missed...
FUCK!
edit: looks like i went a bit overboard... well my simple answer to this topic's question is "probably".
