<a href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2503529284&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:UK:6" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2503529284&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:UK:6</a>

All I need now is a bigger set of amps. Oh well. Better start saving.

That looks EXCELLENT. I have a Paul (single cutaway) and I love it--I'm sure you will too.

Get a quality hard case!

I haven't been able to pick up an axe for awhile.

I have a Jackson Kelly Pro (KE-1) transparent black..... Kelly XL(harder to find version that is done exactly like the pro w/ a little different wood, bindings, etc... thinner fretboard allows FAST movement) metallic blue..

what kind of amp are you looking to go for?
Sound wise?

Is that a Standard or a Special... I don't see it listed. I play on a Les Paul Studio, I don't have $2000 to drop yet on a guitar :) $1200 was enough for me, but I love the feel of the Standards.

It sure is.......blue. Doesn't do anything for me, but as long as you're happy with it, cheers! I'll stick with my Gothic Explorer and LP.

WOW! Man, I also have a Kelly ! Definitelly my Fav Guitar ( Friedman model ).

Congrats Fallows! That Gibson looks good. Even if Gibsons are not my cup of tea, I can't denny that they sound incredibly good !

It's a superb guitar. A cool guitar deserve a cool amp.

My fav amps are :

Crate Bluevoodu and Mesa Boogie TriAxis.

I am slowly saving up some cash so I can build my own from parts, and the main thing that will be custom about it is the paint...I want a really insanely intense royal blueburst. I've talked about doing it for years so now I'm actually going to attempt it, and I'm almost $200 of the way there...it's probably a $700 project but hey, I'll wind up with a guitar worth twice that...!

Atro...

I got a Crate Bluevoodoo (hence my name) half stack. The original with the HUGE gold plated Crate lettering.. AWESOME stuff. Then I have a Mesa cabinet... The mesa is for the high end (celestian 30's) and the crate for the low end... and it kicks the low end lol. I got a 1- 15" cab too... :)

I tell you what... I put some hotter burning 12ax7's into the bluevoodoo head, and some different groove tube 6L6B's (I think they are)... but they are a hotter burning version... MAN... I get a TERRIFIC sound out of it :) I normally have to turn the gain down to about 3/4's...

I also have a digitech 2112 gold edition w/ a mosvalve power amp.. I go that combo because it can run 4 4-12" cabs lol :) But.. I prefer the straight sound of the bluevoodoo.

I hope some day to get a KE2... the Whammied version of the KE1 :) With the irredescent Swirl paint job... or maybe a quilted paint job :) with a family though.. its tough to do :)

You are right though..... Kelley's are some of the BEST guitars I have ever played. I have an explorer with EMG-81 pickups... plays good, but nothing compared to the Kelley....

What amp do you use?

Ah, nice find! I recently aquired a new guitar myself:

<a href="http://www.zebesfiles.org/jpm/jpm2-3.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.zebesfiles.org/jpm/jpm2-3.jpg</a>

(yes, some shit in the lense when I took this pic too)

Ibanez John Petrucci signature model. Plays like a dream! Right now I'm setting up a rack that'll consist of a Mesa Boogie Triaxis, 2:90, and a couple of Mark II C+ heads (different settings). Gonna be quite expensive frown

I'm sure that guitar does :) Nice one!

Do they offer it in a run-thru model?

I don't think they offer it in neck-thru. I've never been fond of neck-thru guitars because of the fact that they become a pile of wood should something bad happen to the neck. There are tons of information about the guitars here - <a href="http://jpmsite.com/" target="_blank">http://jpmsite.com/</a>

I really want the 7 string version w/piezo. A shame the stuff costs too much crying

:shameless plug: - Check my thread in Everything Else for some guitar gear :D

schechter (I think thats how you spell it)

HAS KILLER 7-strings. I believe that petrucci uses one of those too at times... I might be wrong, but I thought he did.

I have played a couple of the Schechter guitars (incl their 7-string) and they are NICE!

BTW.... I agree on your neck-thru comment.. but I like them box. It just depends on how the neck is made... and how it is oiled, and the thickness :)
I got accustomed to neck-thru's because they stay in tune A LOT better because you don't have to worry about the neck slipped A SMALL SMIDGEN... which throws your whole guitar out of tune... and sometimes the intonation (Spelling?). locking nuts at the top end of the fret board help.... A LOT for bolt-ons.

Yeah, neck-thrus are good for stuff like sustain and keeping tune. However, I've modified my rig for stuff like sustain, and my guitar is set up perfect that it never goes out of tune (although I'll go through it monthly and fine tune everything still, like with any guitar).

I've heard of schechter (ha, I can't remember how to spell it either). In the neighborhood for 7 strings, I was thinking something along the lines of a Jem or something. It's something I'll have to play before I buy though.

You have any pics of your gear blue? I'm a huge Jackson fan as well. I never had any idea there were so many players on this site.

I will try to remember to take some pics for you :) I will try to do that tonight and post them.

My Metallic Blue Kelley...sweet as could be, but the paint DINGS like no other paint. My trans black KE1 never does... it has a ROCK solid paintjob, it accepts more wear and tear.

The Metallic blue is not in the nicest shape, I gotta admit... it has had its time of abuse. DON'T get me wrong, my equipment is treated well.. but from all the jamming, and everything, it does get its use. Plus.. the strap lock let loose some how (fell totally apart) right when I was at the TOP of the stairs :( and it took a trip. IT is bolt on, has the locking nut .... and I tell you what.. it STILL PLAYS like a dream.. and stays in tune better than almost ANY guitar I have played. My explorer is the worst for staying in tune :)

I actually have been recording some music for a new Jag game coming out... maybe I'll throw you a little sample :) Some good ol metal :)

How's the Gallagher play? And why the Gallagher over any other hollow Epi?

I had a Crate 2x10 for years and never liked the sound. I got a $500 windfall about two years back and said, okay, time to make this right. Got a Marshall AVT 50, and wow do I love it.

I also recommend getting a POD, even if you think you don't need one. Hoe-lee-shit. My 2.0 is by far the coolest guitar toy I have ever owned.

Oh, and the build-my-own-guitar fund just jumped to about $350 this week, so I'm on the way...I can probably start shopping for bodies...

Ok the only musical talen I have is playing something like a CD or LP , or maybe farting aka the Butt Trumpet.

But man that is a sweet looking Guitar !

A few years back a friend of mines wife started making big cash as a corp lawyer and bought him some Guitar that is made of some wood from the rain forests , it was like 1600 bucks ,I cant remember the name but they are the only kind like them. he liked it , but he said it wasnt as nice to play as some Gibson he has , he runs Mesa Boogie amps , he says the Tube amps kick ass and give off a deeper sound.
I like to go to his pad when he has get togethers with ther people who play and they jam. We went and took one of his Guitars to a local guy who used to be a Guitar tumer for the Doobie Bros or about 12 years, now for some reason it was just so cool to check this guys place out.
