Speaking of EGM. I used to like the mag back in the day, got annoyed with it, started reading GameFan and never had any reason to look into EGM. So this is the first EGM that I've read in awhile and I must say, I'm pretty impressed. Lots of new writers and the layout has definetly improved. There is just something about just kicking back with a new videogame magazine that beats getting my news etc, from the internet. Of course the websites seem to always have the news a bit earlier and do have advantages, but just sitting down with a gaming magazine made my day...

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, I share the same sentiments as you mostly -- there's nothing like sitting down with a video game magazine, as opposed to reading gaming news online.

EGM nowadays are pretty decent. Their dark age IMO was 1999-2001 where to me they were borderline unreadable.

Today they're OK. Not 89-95 good, but pretty good nonetheless. Enough to rival the 96-98 years.

Plus it's all free. So bump that "pretty decent" to "above average." :D

Mmm...Diehard Gamefan, now that was a magazine! I had several back in the day, but they were lost, trashed, etc. I only have one copy to this day.

I have first issue in my hand now
I spent a lot of money after reading the first issue....AOF AES was one of the game I bought...$199 + shipping envy

I would. Honestly, I really would. IF it was one of those "average sized reviews," but NO!

It got the "King Treatment" meaning; full length reviews... three of them!

Why is it that people love Jet Set Radio (like me), but hate this? Give me a break, this looks to be very very good. I'll never understand.

I'm on the side of who gives a shit. Its a graphical style. Who cares. Like any game, the graphics will have zero impact after the first few hours and it will all be about the game.

Just got mine too, thanks for the link EGM is a lot better than what I remember from back when I tried to pick it up.

BTW, I think the review speaks about what I expected it to.

I never said the game was gonna suck, I just hate the graphics and the presentation. The graphics, for what they are, are great. I just hate that they're in Zelda.

Still you don't see me getting pissed at other people having a different opinion. Still I hope to god the game flops on the basis of its graphics, for the sheer fact that I hope to never have to deal with them again in a Zelda game.

I'm sure that a lot of you are going to love this game even more when it becomes another one of those "martyr" games that never sells.
