I really got into it when I played the 64 version. I played through most of the PSX version, but was a little upset at the character changes. When NCS said that Harvest Moon 3 was coming out soon, I went over to IGN and checked out their very short video of it. I got to say, it looks bad fucking ass... Any other HM players around?

Just curious....

O yes! You better believe it!

I've played the SNES, N64, PSX, and GB incarnations (tho not the color versions of 1+2 yet).

Awesome games, but I haven't beaten any of them yet. Came close, but not quite.

Stopped playing N64 version when PSX came out.
My PSX game has also been stuck in limbo for awhile.. too many games to play!

I got Harvest Moon (Emulated) on my ZSNES emulator, and I have to say, it kics ass. Where can you find the chance to take care of cows, grow your own veggies & get laid ? I also have the PSX version ( I think there were 2 releases, one for Male lead and the other for the Female lead) and it looks every bit as good as its SNES counterpart. I saw the new PS2 version and it has cell shaded quality graphics (like in Jet Grind Radio). Anyway, HM rules and is one of the underrated RPGs in which people don't know about.

I loved the 64 version.. I played the hell out of it and beat it. I had the PSX version while still playing the 64 version. I was determined to beat the 64 version before I started the PSX one. One thing I noticed was that the PSX version is harder to get the girl to fall for you. I havent played it in a while, I may get back into it.

O yes, chics are hard to fall in love with in the PSX version. I've got about 2X hours on it, and am close to marriage in the game.

I'm going after the grocery store girl (the bar waitress in N64), and it's taking time.

What about u?

I was an Ann fan... I married her and knocked her up in the 64 version. I hate how they changed her and her family in the PSX, but I still went after her. I have played the PSX for hours trying to get her to love me, but it's taking forever. How much shit do I have to give her before she puts out Damn video game women...

Ann likes weird stuff.
You have to give her

fish
popcorn
or pizza

Of course, you can't grow corn for popcorn till late in the game, and you can't get the utinsels to make pizza until later either. Fish are also hard to catch.

Maybe you should just chase the librarian

Nahh.. I have put a lot of time into Ann. Thanks for the tips, I am probably going to start playing it again this week. Digi, did you get the free t-shirt when you bought the game?

Yes I did get the shirt.

And yes I do sometimes wear it in public.

Now that's what you call "hardcore", right?!

Hell yeah! I got the damn game the day it came out and was able to pick up a shirt. I bugged the manager all day until he got his shipment in. It's sad really... The still tell me I am the only person who bought the game from their store, ever. I can live with that...

Yep. I've started playing this game again this week too.

Still haven't gotten Karen to marry my character yet tho. I'll keep at it.

I wonder what the next harvest moon will offer? They need to put Pigs in the game so you can raise and sell them.

I've got the N64 version. Pretty cool, but it doesn't get played much any more.

Never finished it though - have to dig it out of the cupboard for another go soon

I haven't played HM in a couple of weeks. Too busy re-playing FFIV.

HM3 huh? Cool. Let's hope there will be a GC version with pigs.

I freaking love Harvest Moon.

The newest one on 3DS has a lot more love and craftsmanship than any of the recent games. If you have a 3DS buy it.

A Wonderful Life on Gamecube is still my favorite, though.

Rune Factory kicks ass too.

Haha, did you bump your old thread to reminisce on lost opportunities?

I think the HM game that's impressed me the most over the years was Harvest Moon DS. I remember it getting a lot of flak over being too similar to the GBA game, but since I never played that one it seemed fun to me.

I've been trying to play the new 3DS one, but it's soooo slow. I'm into autumn and not too much has happened yet.

Looking forward to Rune Factory 4

His bump was a parody of Liquid Snake's bumped thread which was equally old.
