How much is worth$$ an American Pitbull Terrier in USA ?

You can find really good Pitbulls from 500 to 1000. It really depends on what kind you want. There are two types, game pits and just your normal pit. Either type of Pit can make a good family pet but you must be good with dogs (training, dicipline etc). Another thing you should do is read a few books or look up info on the dogs on the net. When you buy the dog either buy from a well known breeder or go see the Parents and nursing area. If the parents are totally unapproachable and the area is filthy I would make a pass on those pups.
Very awesome dogs, but make sure you do your homework and be a responsible person. Its up to people like me and you to show the world the true nature of the dogs. Not the abused, crazed halfbreeds they fight, and attack people on the news

You seem to understand the breed and I am sure you are a responsible dog owner, as I am. And Im sure that Atrophied will be too.
The breed can be tempremental even with proper training.
Sadly the majority (unqualified, but my honest opinion) of owners realish the breeds ferousious reputation.
In many countries they are outlawed as you know, this is as a result of numerous unprevoked viscouse attacks.
The pitbull was bred as a fighting dog, not an ideal family pet.
Hope you dont have to live with the consequences.

I had "Cane Corso", wich died two years ago.
My love for Pitbulls is not because the dogfights.
I know they are the best "game" dogs, the baddest of all, but that will only depend on the owner.
The dog's Attitude will depend on wich education the owner ( ME ) will give to the dog.
Of course I like "athletic" style Pitbulls, that's why I love so much this race, they're fast, Friendly, strong, proud of themselves and will always defend the owner if the owner gets attacked by somebody.
Where can I find one? I mean, someone that could ship it to Portugal, coz' I don't out there in the USA.
I can have a Good Pitbull here, but something buzzes always my head to have a true american-bloodrunning Pitbull.
I ask all of this, coz' on the Internet we're constantly faced with scammers that we even don't know.

It is true that they were bred for fighting, but that was many many years ago. That kind of behavorial trait has been bred out of the dog, thats why it is important to find a good breeder. There still are people out there that think it is cool to breed a Pit that is aggressive towards other dogs and people, its a shame because those people are giving The dogs their bad reputations.
One thing I will tell you. Game bred Pits can be tricky and you should have exprience with training or take the dog to classes. Game bred Pits are used for hunting and therefore naturally aggressive towards other animals. So if you dont have the dog trained good it wont understand the diffrence towards a Pig, Boar (which they hunt) and Cats and other domestic animals. My friend has three game bred Pits and never had a problem with them be aggressive towards people as a matter of fact two of the dogs are so friendly that people cant believe they are hunting dogs. That last one is alittle potective of the family (most dogs are anyway) but once he gets to know you he is more than happy to play fetch and tug of war with you. As a matter of fact he is my favourite of the three.
I dont know anybreeder that ship out of state but dont be discouraged. I seen websites were they send other breeds internationally I just forgot were I saw them
American Pittbulls sure do have a diffrent physical appearance than their European counterparts. So if you want a true American Pitbull than it needs to come from America (or a breeder in your area that got their dogs from America)

As an interesting side note. Many of my friends want Pitbulls because they see mine and get charmed by him. I discouraged many of them from getting one because I know my friends and I know most of them would get the dog as a "status symbol" and wont take proper care of them. I dont know Atrophyed personnaly so I cant judge him like that. On top of that if he wants one he is going to get one anyway, so I just want him to get the right dog and let him know what to expect.

I like this dog more than the Staffordshire one.
It's challenging to take a walk with them at the beach and running with them.
They jump like monkeys, they hold on a woodstick for about +/- 40 Min when they're well trained...
This is the kind of dog that the owner just don't take a walk with. It's very beautifull and usefull as a guard.
What I fear sometimes is that many people steals those dogs to make them fight.
My Pitbull(s) will not fight ( at least in the "game" dogfights ), I love the animal, why should I put him to be fucking bad threated ?
