I'm wanting to know what are some good SS RPG's that were released in the US. They have to be able to be found for a pretty low price. I'm looking for both 2D and 3D.

Hmm...

Shining the Holy Ark - Never played it.
Shining Force 3 (Scenario 1) - GET THIS!
Dragon Force - One of my favorite games of all time. Expensive at $80
Panzer Dragoon Saga - Kind of overrated I think, but awesome nonetheless. Hella expensive at $120
Rayearth - Never played it.
Albert Odyssey - Tremendous loading times, gets way tedious but the dialogue is the best there is.
Shining Wisdom - Never played it.
Guardian Heroes - Totally kickass game. Can get Expensive at $50

If you're looking for the game only, even some of the more expensive titles can be found pretty cheap. I'm forgetting some RPGs, I'll edit once I remember them.

Ahh yes, Legend of Oasis. One of the early titles. You might also want to check out Dark Savior. I rented it a few times and don't really remember the detailed aspects of the game but I think it was RPG-like.

Let me know if you are interested in the import scene. You could double your RPG collection that way and most are quite fun regardless of the language barrier. Not to mention all you need is a converter cart and a FAQ/walkthrough off the net to get the basic idea of the game.

No one here mention Riglord Saga (1&2)?

It's one (or two) RPG for Saturn that I enjoyed playing the most. Back then, I get really addicted to this game, and can't just stop playing. Love the graphics/arts, and great gameplay.

Ones I've played;

Shining Force 3 Sc.1 - Awesome! Must get.
Blazing Heroes / Mystaria - Slightly confusing graphics at times, but if you love SF3, get this too.
Shining the Holy Ark - Very good dungeon RPG. I got stuck though.
Dragon Force - Classic strategy/RPG must get!
Magic Knight Rayearth - Very colorful grahpics, cool anime voice acting, I got stuck in this one too.
Albert Odyssey - Terrible loading times, Ok everything else. Good if you like old style 2D RPG's. It's no FF3 (FF6Jp) though.

Panzer Dragoon Saga and Legend of Oasis are 2 of my all time favorite Saturn RPGs, but I can't go without mentioning Shining the Holy Ark and Shining Wisdom.

Dragon Force is probably my all time favorite game. I remember getting it one Christmas, and taking a week vacation from work. I would get up at 7:00AM play until 12:30PM, mom would watch Young and the Restles *shudder* and at 1:30PM I'd be back at it. I would play from 1:30 until 1:00 AM, then be back up at 7:00AM to do the same thing as the day before. Well worth the asking price.

Shining the Holy Ark was really cool and well done. I enjoyed it quite a bit, although all the battles could be tedious.

Shining Wisdom was decent, but not great.

Albert Odyssey was a hell of a lot of fun.

Panzer Dragoon Saga was totally cool but totally short. My first time through I won in 14hrs with like what I think was 70% of the game completed.

Saturn was a great system...

Mystaria=Riglord Saga

and since Riglord Saga 2 only came out in Japan it really isn't worth mentioning unless you speak the language.

That is one of my favorite games of all time. I can play through that game time and time again, and it just never seems to get boring. An absolute must have for all Saturn fans.

Albert Odyssey, Legend of Oasis, Mystaria, and Shining the Holy Arc are all decent-good, though. I'd stay away from Dark Savior, Shining Wisdom, and... uh... pretty much every other sub-40 dollar domestic RPG for the system.

Overall, though, if you want a good RPG you know you will like (Panzer Dragoon Saga or Dragon Force, for example), spend the money. It doesn't make a lot of sense to limit yourself to cheap, Saturn RPGs when you could be getting cheap, PSX RPGs that are (generally) better and more readily available.

Damn, I forgot about Dark Savior. Not a "True" RPG, but it's a damn fun game. I spent many an hour on that one. Speaking of the Mighty Guardian Heroes, my friends and I just had a major GH fest a couple of weeks ago, pure chaos as all treasure games should be!!
