I am currently considering buying another RPG for my PSone. Then I came across this one. I remember this being the title that was a great hit in Japan.

My question to you that owned/have played it, is it worth the hype? Will I get the value of my money back if I get this game?

And is it true that this game requires at least 90 hours of gameplay?

Great Game. Very Addicting. I got over 80 hours in but I probably got like 20 or so to go!

Worth it!

If you want a great game regardless of the graphics then go for it.

It is a very long game, really addicting, and extremely fun. One of the best RPG's on the PSX.

Yah. Dragon Warrior 3 on NES owned. Story was a little on the weak side, but the gameplay was way ahead of it's time.

90 hours is stretching it. i can say that it will take most rpg gamers over 60 hours, honestly.

It's well worth the money. They skimped out on the graphics a bit, but the content it excellent. I am glad they brought that game over.

You do realize that you're full of shit? It took them years to make this one, and it came out maybe three or so years into the life of the PSX over in Japan, if I'm not mistaken.

It came out last Winter in Japan.

Personally, I found that it's pretty easy to get bored with, but if you take small portions at a time, it's not too bad at all. It's a long game, but like the original Grandia, it didn't really need to be so stretched out...

If you do all the bonus dungeons and such it does take 100 hours. It's a good game for Dragon Quest fans, although part 3 is still the best.

And yeah, the game is pretty new here and in Japan.

I personally hate DW7 for the ridiculous 3d. You have to constantly rotate the camera all day. Might as well tape the button down.

DW7 is awesome. Barring the graphics, there's nothing bad really to say about the game. And some may find the graphics cute or charming or whatever. I still think DW4 is my favorite of the series though. (I didn't play 5 & 6 cuz they were Jap only, but I played 1-4 & 7). By the way, does anybody have any news about the Playstation remake of DW4?

The US release was canned some time ago. So practice your Japanese and import it if you want it. Just a random note - I really like the battle music in the DQ4 remake.

I put about 125 hours into this baby before beating it.

Awesome game. Starts out very slow, but once you get into it, it is a great game, especially for fans of olde-skool RPGs.

I still didn't have enough merchants to complete my Mall town tho. I was only one away too! <img src="graemlins/blowtop.gif" border="0" alt="[Blow Top]" />
