Ok, just got myself a SMS w/3D glasses. Few things I need help with:

1)Which games to get?

2)How many games work w/the 3D glasses?

3)What is the port for on the bottom of the system?

4) Any other cool accessories?

Thx in advance to anyone who can help!!!

3D games that I can think of right off are:
Space Harrier 3D
Zaxxon 3D
Blade Eagle 3D
Maze Hunter 3D
Missle Defense 3D
Poseidon Wars 3D

A number of the games were remade on other systems but the following are good pics:
most the 3D games are cool
Wonderboy games
Time Soldiers
Thunder Blade
Sonic
Rambo
Phantasy Star
Golden Axe
Hang On
Fantasy Zone(s)

have fun!

Zillion is a good game while it lasts! Once you beat it you won't play it again most likely, but until you do it's fantastic.

The port on the bottom right is where the 3D glasses card slots into.

The 3D effect isn't all that great unfortunately, but the best 2 games with 3D effects are by far :

Space Harrier
Missile Defense 3D

I know how to use the 3D glasses. And that port is on the front right end. The port I'm talking about is on the UNDERSIDE/BOTTOM of the system!?!?!?! There's a piece that slides off. Any ideas on that?

oh, sorry dude.

To be honest, i don't think it's used for anything. I had a complete guide of master system peripherals in an old magazine an dnone of them used that slot. I think it was just there in case Sega decided to make an add ont hat sat underneath, ala' sega cd.

its probably a residual appendage when it made the transfer from sg1000/sc3000 to master system. i'm sure theres some add on you can hook up to it since they were computers and had perepherals.

Maze Hunter 3D had some pretty convincing 3D visuals...the sense of depth was quite good on the multi-level dungeons.

I agree with Missile Defense 3D. It's a short game with very few stages, but the first time I saw the ice stage (the way the ice pillars seemed to protrude out from the TV was so damn impressive!) I was in awe!

Because of the lack of scaling of the SMS hardware, the forward scrolling 3D games like Zaxxon 3D and Space Harrier 3D were not very impressive.

Yup for 3D the Missile Defense 3D is the best one. :)

Other games (non-3D) to look into:
Phantasy Star
Psycho Fox
Ghouls n' Ghosts
Moonwalker

Basketball Nightmare isn't too bad although you can only play human teams in 2p mode. I just don't get that restriction.

Hmm... I'll have to go through my list of games back home.

I did have some sort of RC Pro Am ripoff called RC Grandprix. That one was pretty decent, hmm, I'll have to look for that one again.

The games I can remeber & recommend:
Wonderboy in monsterland & the rest of them
California games
Special criminal investigation
Double dragon
Rainbow islands
Newzealand story
Psycho fox
Laser ghost
Spy v's spy
Shinobi
Castle of illusion
Golfmania
Operation wolf
Alex kidd in shinobi world & the rest of them!

The port underneath wasn't used for anything to my knowledge?

Get the light phaser/gun for extra fun! :D

I cant belive noone mentioned Spellcaster !

its a great side scrolling action platformer with side areas that have puzzles similar to comic adventures such as Shadowgate , Snatcher .

I my dad bought it because some videogame mag said it was a sequel to Phantasy Star , I am glad the mistake was made because I would have never known about the game otherwise .

Unique and awesome game .

I remembered it being refered to as the belly button. They were going to use it for an add on and never did.

Spellcaster was in the initial bunch of games I bought for my SMS (I got a Master System when the Genesis came out. I figured I can get the Master System with 6 or 7 games or get a Genny with only 1. I went for the Master system. :p )

Anyway, I thought someone already mentionned it... Oops. Yeah, it's a good game to get for sure.
