DOA extreme Volleyball...

I bought this game...I think it is great. I am talking about the play control and the fun of playing the volleyball. The other parts are what make this game so good. I like the private beach. Damn...the girls looks pretty damn good, especially in the intro.........

I gotta say I am pleased with this game....anyone else? Anyone know of some tricks, or tips on what gifts to give what girls? What the hell do I do with the nail polish? Also, some of those bathing suits......damn.....

Hey the casinoa part is damn cool as well.

My last thing is, does anyone know what the hell Unwilling, Usual, and Confident do when you select each? Is that the skill level? Thanks.....and oh yeah....I will do this here...cast you vote for which one you think is the best looking...I'm voting for the new girl...Lisa.......Tina is second....

Yeah DOA XVB is aces. I didn't much FEEL it at first due to having to figure out the gift giving/fickle behavior of the girls as I just wanted to play Volleyball without roderick, but just look at their hobbies listed in the manual to get a good idea of the kinds of gifts the girls want. I'm currently using Christie, and all the chicks mostly don't like her (probably since she's a cold hearted assassin) but I got Lei Fang to team up with me after reading she likes things yellow... so I gave her a yellow sea shell bought at the accessories shop and PINGPONG/BINGO!... now she won't leave Christie alone which is cool but I had also bought a Butterfly hair piece which I can't seem to give to her unless I'm trying to win her over. I already bought Tina the blue sapphire stone so maybe she'll get wit me next.

Best chicks in the game huh? Well TINA is the only woman with some actual *meat* on her bones (toned but with more to offer than something like Lei Fang) so I'll say I like TINA first, then Christie... followed by Lisa in 3rd.
Unlike you however, I hate the casino stuff, I'm not into gambling and don't intend to learn just to play a game so I almost never go into the casino for anything and pray it's not neccessary in order to beat the game.

I cant wait to get this game! I soon as i heard it was coming out i wanted it!

I am glad to hear that the play is good because i was worried that its just going to hardly anything but the girls being sexy, whith no depth or anything. I cant wait to get it!

that's how I feel about the game, personally. Just not my cup of tea, that's all. Glad I traded it back in for Orta (now that's a hot chick if there is ever CG one)!

Insanity - Leifang, Kasumi, and Hitomi are the *only* choices for the top 3.

Anyways, to answer the first question, unwilling/usual/3rd choice affect how the girls attack the ball. When a character is unwilling, they'll usually stay back, won't spike as well, and will sometimes let easy ones fall. You get the idea - give your parter gifts she'll like if you want to keep her playing the best. You can also tell what the mood of opposing players are (in vacation mode) by their portraits - pick matches against unwilling characters for some quick cash.

I finally got a chance to play this 2 player yesterday, and it was a lot of fun. I still wish there was more control over where spikes go (it's tough to score against a decent player), and I still haven't figured out (or tried, really) how to block spikes at the net, but...

I still say if you liked Virtua Tennis, you'll probably like this. You sacrifice a little control for speed, and some more variety in vacation mode (like the special tests VT had in tour mode) would have been really nice, but it's a fun game overall.

Ew... In all honesty I didn't play it more than 45 mins on vs. mode but I thought the game was a bit too cheesy. The fun kinda wore off pretty quick IMO. Maybe it's my taste in games, dunno. I hear some of the extras are neat like the casino but I'm not too much into gambling.

Anyone else bothered to play this with a friend? If you haven't, do it. A friend of mine drove up to Minneapolis yesterday, and we had 4 *great* matches before going out for sushi. It was evenly matches, and I saw a lot of things happen that almost never happened in 1 player mode.

Now I just need to work more on my custom soundtrack... while staying within the beach theme.

I have 27 hours invested in this game.

I tried to think back to the DOA2 for DC. I remember that Tina is kinda of a wrestling tough girl. I also remembered she would wear hats. I bought some sunglasses, bathing suit, and hat. She so far is an awesome teammate with Lisa. I do like the game. THe only thing I can't figure out is the jump serve. I never get it. I bought a machine gun....gave it to Christie. Thought that was kinda of a weird gift....but it fit her.

As far as the casino...I only do that to get more money to buy more swimsuits. I only play Blackjack...and Poker....the other ones are just dumb......I have made quite a bit of money by gambling.....but I understand what to do.....if you don't then I understand......The one thing that puzzles me is the items keep changing in the stores.....I thought about buying something and then decided to come back...to find it wasn't there......also Is there a difference in the Volleyball you use? I think this game has a lot of depth...as well as tits....lol. tickled I am learning also that cetain girls block better,spike better than others. The trick to blocking is timing....I just don't like the fact that my partner sometimes I can't control and she misses a ball. It cracks me up sometimes when I am spiking and the girl is picking her suit out of her butt and totally misses it. I had the jump serve *down* yesterday afternoon... and couldn't get one over the net earlier today. The timing is tough.

Evidentally certain volleyballs can make certain players play better - I don't know if it's been rigorously tested, but I do seem to have better luck sometimes with different balls. And please, feel free to make jokes about the last sentance.

As for the computer missing the ball, it's pretty important to keep giving your partner gifts to keep her confidence up. Once they get to unwilling, you might as well just stick with a one woman team... You might want to try out some of the commands using the right analogue stick to help out with strategy, though...

4 players isn't possible (a glaring ommission), but 2 player is really, really fun. Much better than playing against the computer.

The only nudity i saw was Christie at the beginning jumping off a cliff into the sea naked but its not up close.

I really love this game! I love the jumping pool game, the casino is cool the games are good! Plus i love the way you keep on buying loads of different things! All the lovely things you get! A gift everyday is good to keep yourself happy and you wins tons of money anyway to get a gift to keep your partner happy!

I am a bit dissapointed when the accessories and swinsuits change everyday as well like djbomberman mentioned but i think they will come around again in later days maybe!?

I havent actually got it yet, its my uncles so i have over at his and March cannot come soon enough! As soon as its out over here i am snapping it up straight away! I really recommend it! buttrock

Even if the swimsuits don't show up again the same vacation, it will show up again on the next vacation with that girl. It should also be noted that each girl has a unique selection of suits...

And the only nudity in the game (not really even nudity) is in the opening movie.
