Will the US version of Guilty Gear XX for PS2 be edited?

I am getting the US version of Guilty Gear XX(X2 here) for PS2 when it comes out and wanted to know if it will be edited or not. I really hope that it isn't I hate when the censor the blood, poses etc. out of fighters.

I doubt it will be edited, I'm only worried about what they will do with the story mode. I have the JPN version, and the story mode is very nice. Let's hope for your sake that they don't dub it! angry

Anyway remember when i made a topic abut my GGXX not arriving despite my preordering it anyway I contacted japanvideogames and told em my plight and they sent me another one free of charge! Anyway Verbatum I don't speak japanese but does the storymode have any english in it at all?

Nope, only a few words like "Holy Zen" and "Chicken Shit" from Chip. Tis' all in Japanese my friend.

Damn. I'm a big storyline buff and i at least wished i could have understood johnny's, Axl's, Venom's or Sol's stories(since they come from english speaking countries). But oh well if the US version is edited in any kind of stupid way i'll be damn happy i have the japanese one! Looks like its strictly gameplay for me.

You serious? I don't think it's coming out that soon. It's not even on the release list in most every game store and the date has been pushed back several times. it's been delayed for 3 months already. I heard it was supposed to come out march 3rd. Who else can confirm it should actually arrive sooner

ebgames.com says Feb. 4th...and the box art appears to be a little better than the Japanese counterpart.

I just got mine today from gamestop. Looks like there arent any cuts of any kind. All the cool blood and I-no's topless winpose is still there. (even tho shes facing the other way!)

SO far i Love this game. I-no rules.

I heard that they have taken out the "victory BGM" for the US version which was present in the import version.Not very major anyway.

Also i heard that "the midnight carnival" was missing too.Now its just called "GGX2".Again, nothing major.I could care less about that anyway.

I'll pick up the US version next week...There seems to be a little shortage of GG X2...every store has only 4-5 copies for sale (Not pre-order)

Okay...I've got some of the differences of the Japanese version to the US:

here's a breakdown of stuff that are missing from Guilty Gear X2 compared to Guilty Gear XX.

-no short-cut setting
-no cockpit font change
-in key config, there is no setting for "Stick" and "GGXX Stick"
-no victory BGM settings
-"The Midnight Carnival" is taken out
-in the command list, it doesn't show you the name of the special moves/overdrives/instant kills, yet it's all translated in the instruction booklet
-Zappa, during the "Duel 1, FIGHT..." announcement, he doesn't seem to be babbling anymore, instead does the weird scream (correct me if i'm wrong on this one)

Other than that everything else seems fine. This is taken from gcc sammy boards...
