yeah i just seriously contemplated selling all of my gaming stuff, systems and all games for nothing more than a woman. now this decision is something i thought i never even think of but in my mind the tought arose, my years of memories, and hundreds of dollars spent on it just to be sold at the drop of a hat. these are tumultuous times for this sixteen year old punk. and while listening to "stairway to heaven" it came up. what would you guys do? i can't simply dissmiss it as the thought wont go (like in field of dreams) what should i do?

That's what I do, and besides wouldn't you help out a fellow gamer by selling them the game you don't want anymore?

Also, they're YOUR games, so do what YOU want with them.

I have no problems with someone getting rid of their entire collection, its that person's choice to do so, and in the end its all just material possessions anyway. Life is more important, definitely.

Don't completely condone selling your games. shame

Yeah, games won't help with females or classes, thats very true.

When I was in high school, they(along with other things) really had me messed up, especially for schoolwork, so don't let it happen to yourself before its too late.

I personally find games take up WAY too much of my time, and resources. All they're good for is relaxing and having fun.

Not helping you live your life, or becoming a better person.

I go through points where I just get tired of it all and stow the stuff away in my closet, only to come back a year later to bring back the old memories.

I sold a lot of my gaming stuff to buy drugs.

Girls and drugs go hand-in-hand, they are both addicting, time consuming, and eat up a lot of money.

I'll tell you though, I've hated myself ever since I did that and I wish I had never done it. It's going to take a long time to buy back all the stuff I lost due to poor decision making.

actually cnidarian that sounds like a plan, i wouldn't be able to put the neo away i need super sidekicks 2. but the thing is thanks to games i've had to go to summer school every summer since eighth grade, as soon as i get home i play as opposed to studying. but i can't simply toss them to the dogs. the games and systems have so many memories in them i'm stuck in an indecision.

Do the whole storage thing, or get your parents to help you out. Have them steal all your power adapters for your gaming systems before you get home. After you complete your homework, and any studying you may need, they give them back. Sounds like a plan to me.

Or sell them all to me for $20! (it was worth a try)

It sounds like you know what the "right" thing to do here is, but lack the dedication required for it (don't play until your done your homework).

Why the hell would you feel the need to sell your games in order to get a girlfriend/ good grades?

I would never sell any of my games (which i like)which is why i have fuckin' 100's of 'em. I am 17, i still got decent grades in school and did an extra year in 6th Form to pass a business studies GNVQ. I played my games all fuckin day!

And seriously, girls don't care how many video games you do or don't have. The only ones that do care are selfish cows who are upset that the money you spent on video games could be spent on them. After all, if you do sell all your games, what the hell would you do with the money!!!

When I was about 14 I sold my entire Judge Dredd comic collection.

I'm 31 years old now, and I still regret that decision very much.

Imagine how much worse you'll feel if you sell off all your gaming stuff.

Don't do it.

If you're worried about your grades, or how much time you're spending playing games, then shove everything in the closet and spend some more time at your local library.

But do not sell your game stuff.
