Ah, this is sweet news indeed.
Heck, they could have said that Shenmue 3 would be on the Dreamcast for all I care, as long as it's a GAME and not a movie.
But this is certainly encouraging buttrock

Not only that, but it's reassuring to see that perhaps Shenmue III WON'T be the final game in the series! At least according to what was written on the whiteboard, it seems the chapter structure goes on to Shenmue 4 and beyond!Plisken:

infact if it used the same game engine as the previous games i'b be more than happy, despite what reviewers say i think Shenmue II looks better than most next-gen games. But to have it built ground up on Xbox is just an added bonus! buttrock buttrock
BRANDI:
On Xbox?!?
SEGA really don't want to sell this in Japan...
Can't understand, really...
At least on PS2 it would have a worldwide market...
I truly don't understand SEGA managment... oh_no
Thisbasically means that they want to make the best game they can and then based on the game not the user base it will sell. Basically that the game sells it's self, not the system that it is based off of. Hell I don't care what system it is released on as long as it is not a movieQ: Why on the Xbox?
A: The hardware is very powerful, so that makes it easier for us to realize our visions for the series.
I commend them on their effort to make the best game possible, not shun them for their descissions.Plisken:
The same engine would be very sweet indeed, but what it needs is something that could do better textures than some used on the people. The Mexican arm wrestler is downright eek! !infact if it used the same game engine as the previous games i'b be more than happy, despite what reviewers say i think Shenmue II looks better than most next-gen games. Aside from some of those textures, the DC version was just fine. But, as with most games in any series, once it hits more powerful hardware, the next step is always to update the graphics as the hardware permits.
Happens with every series, not just Shenmue.

was a lower than sufficient polygon count.
they need more in the arm pit.
admittedly a harder area for 3d people i think.
but if sm 3 is made from the ground up on xbox
then i m sure the characters will be better looking
if they make the next game without the dam load times
i ll be all over this bitch.
one of my few complaints about the sm series.
