Hellsing Ep. 1 - 13

That's right baby- HELLSING rocks and rolls in ways few other animes can even touch. So much cool stuff in it I can't believe it was actually on Japanese TV.

My only complaints now that I've seen the complete English version (Which is superior to the original Japanese language version) is that some of the story gets a tad confusing and/or muddled. But even so- the whole thing is just an amazing and atmospheric piece of work.

And since there's no immediate plans to make another season from what I understand, episodes 1-13 may be all we get.

Fucking awesome series.

Initial D is the best short-lived anime serie ever! I have heard that they will produce a new season and I hope that it will reach the former seasons level.

Hey it's the same problem as THE BIG "O"... great series but for some reason the production comapanies axe it. I had the same feelings of let down when the Dick Wolf show SWIFT JUSTICE that ran for only 13 episodes as well (non animated mind you), but was too ahead of it's time for it's execution and very controversial even by 1996 standards.

Wow this is one damned sad ass thread...go watch more anime

Initial D?? Are you kidding me? Is the first second and third stages plus a movie not enough for you?

And the second part of hellsing was supposed to start in Oct 2002, it apparently got canned. Series was alright...nothing special though

Yeah right...

nothing special? I bet you like all that big eyed Evangelion crap, eh?

Hellsing is SO the best short lived anime series. Awesome character design, terrific animation, great English voice track and a kick ass story.

Most stuff that comes out of Japan anime wise is crap- big eyed, gigantic mouthed, cutesy-poo crap.

Hellsing is actually good, good, good.

Serious, full of action and with a great design aesthetic.

Big O has a second season. Its airing now in japan. It will be on Adult Swim this summer/fall.

The second season was made because of demand of US fans. :D

Got all 4 volumes. Have only (and will only) watched it subbed. It's a good series that had me eagerly awaiting each volume's release but I won't gloss it as hard as you are. In retrospect, it seemed the story dragged on for the first 3 volumes, then quickly and abruptly wrapped up in the final volume. As I watched it I thought to myself "why are they cramming all this in now? Where was it in vols. 1-3?"

Oh well, damn shame there won't be a series 2. I'd rattle off some of my faves but they most likely would fall under "cutesy-poo crap" :p

I don't know if it is short-lived, but there are only a few translated releases of this show in America... Its called "Inachu Ping-Pong Club".
I really love this series, but there are only four volumes that I know of here...
