Wow, the silver one looks awesome. Nearly looks like a cell phone. I am getting one as soon as it comes here.

I dunno...I find the outside to look sweet...but the inside...like where the buttons are located...I think it looks kinda...meh...cheap...

I dunno....only time will tell...but, I hope this isn't the final product =(

It looks very nice, although the design is a direct rip off of the ~PC Engine LT.

I would be more interested in this than the regular model, as since release my only handheld NEo pocket has rarely left the house.

It is a wate of time for Gamecube owners as they can get the GBA reader, but it looks like a cool piece of kit, well done old Ninty.

Now if only Nintendo had released that model with the backlight 1 1/2 years ago........

Yeah saw that about an hour ago, I am psyched, true it doesn't look like the best design, but it looks like a cool portable system (in every essence of the word, I can't wait to fold it up and throw it in a pocket). $99 seems a little steep though, I hope they lower the price... A cube is only $149, and this is cool, but hardly $100 worth of technology.

Looks like a cheap piece of crap to me , also looks very uncomfortable to hold.
But at least now you wont have to hold it at some weird angle to see it.

Still it almost looks fake compared to nintendos usuall styling , wonder what they were thinking with this ?

It reminds me of some of the older tiger electronic type lcd games of the 80's

Looking at the design it seems as though the GBASP won't support the e-Reader :( <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" />

The most positive thing besides the fresh new look for a GBA is the backlit addition. And considering an Afterburner would cost you $35+s&h, the addition in price doesn't seem too harsh to avoid having to mod your own (and in my case possibly screwing it up)

I'm really happy to see this. I thought I would be holding out forever to get a GBA. Now I (and I'm sure some others) no longer have an excuse.

Time to pre-order a silver one.

Fuck it. I play mostly at home, so I don't need the front lit version. I AM buying that damn GCN thing to play the shit on my TV though. Can't think of the last time I used my GBA on the road. It's kind of tough to use on your own when you DRIVER YOURSELF everywhere.

I don't know, the new unit seems like a cash in for Nintendo. I have been a huge supporter of Nintendo and all of their technology dating back to their infancy, but this new GBA SP is a joke. I mean come on, first off, you can't put in standard AA batteries into it. Nintendo claims that it will last 3 years of continued use but what will the cost be when the Battery pack finally dies? If it's anyting like a cell phone battery, it won't be cheap.

It doesn't offer a headphone jack unless you purchase an additional part to do so. I mean, who was the creative designer on that one? Would it cost them that much to add a simple headphone jack?

The light feature seems good but $100.00 for the unit? That is quite steep. Plus the flip also scares me. That type of function in my experience has worn out and becomes loose over time.

Personally, I'm not looking for to this at all.
