Are you going to buy a GBA SP with the GC GBA player coming out soon after?

I like the idea of the GBA SP. Looks very cool, and it's a nice responce to complaints about the current GBA and it's screen issues. Still, I'd rather have the GBA player for my GC, and play these suckers on my TV.

What about you folks? Will you get one, the other, or maybe both? <img src="graemlins/spock.gif" border="0" alt="[Spock]" />

Although my first choice is the GB Player, I may still get the new GBA. It looks very nice and a backlit screen is hard to ignore.

I have a funny feeling I'll end up getting both.

gc player. i have owned about five gba's, and i always sell them because i hate handhelds. with the gc player i don't have to worry about batteries and lighting.

I dunno, I guess my thinking is why should I give Nintendo another $100 of my money to fix a problem inherent with the first GBA (no backlit screen). I'm just going to get an Afterburner mod and leave it at that. Besides, I don't like the new case design, it makes my hands hurt thinking about it. :(

As far as the GC add-on I know a few of my friends who are probably going to get it but I'll probably pass on it as well.

Both my good friend. On the one hand I'm incredibly eager to play a dozen quality GBA games on my GC; mmm...GBA games on the tele with a wavebird in hand = love.

On the other hand is the fact that I'd like to play a little GBA before bed...and the GBASP seems to be the answer, if not, there's always the afterburner.

I will get the GBASP. I just hope it is designed well enough that it can replace my Afterburner-enhanced GBA.

I am not so sure I will get the GBA player. I don't like the idea of having to buy a GC.

when i play them. but mostly i m getting the
gc adapter.
seems like it would be worth it.

Well, since I hear the Panasonic Game Q will NOT work with the GBA player (ARGH), I guess I will get the GBASP. It's really cool looking, and I like that it folds up so it won't leave the screen to get scratched. That's the one thing I hated about handhelds. No matter how careful I was, the screen would usually get scratched somehow.

I gave my GBA away to my girlfriend's litte brother for his birthday because his parents weren't going to get him one, and I've been without for awhile now. Since I know this new -Backlit YES!- version is out I'm going to pre order a black one from Susuan at NCS right now!

I'll get both without a doubt. By the way, is anyone else extremely surprised that the new GBA comes out next month in Japan? It's like it came out of no where and now we will be able to get it in just a few weeks.

I'll probably get GBAPS way before I get a the GB player.

The light is a very nice reason, I like the design a lot (people who think it's to small, by my unscientific calculations...it appears to be remarkably similar in dimension to a GB Pocket...only this folds in half. I think it'll be fine.) and the rechargable battery is very nice.

The Gameboy Player is cool and all but...I'm not jumping out of my skin to play it.

Probably have both though.

Blaine, is that avatar a pic of yourself?

I'd swear I was looking into a mirror. No joke.

I love handheld gaming. I tend to travel a bit, so it's a must for me :) . I also adore my GBA, so I'm gonna be first in line for this new GBA SP. As for the GC GBA Player.. I'll probably get it, but it's not a priority.

I'm probably going to preorder my GBA SP from NCSX so I can get it soon :) !
