Fuck this is bullshit! I've been doing this shit all damn day! GRRRRR Anyone who wants to mod thier xbox think twice, or better yet have a pro do it, its hard, frustrating, and painstakingly long. Oh BTW no sutch thing as a 10min install as they claim, LOL

Shit man that doesn't sound good. There are some sites that will do it for you, but I haven't looked into it enough to suggest one. Anyway I hope you get it worked out man, and let me know how it goes. Soldering sucks.

Dude, why would buy one of the ones that require you to solder in a whole ass load of wires??

The newer ones like the Matrix are simple plug in and put the machine back together. 30 mins tops.

I have the older 1st gen Enigmah (shit...i think thats the one i have) and the entire process for the install of it was around 2:30 hours. That was time to take the machine apart, fit the mod and solder like 29 wires, and put it back together.

After doing that, there is no way in hell I would suggest anyone got that route. I mean my mod works fine, but the work is just too risky.

Ohhh, and I was enjoying some Street Fighter Alpha 3 here earlier with Final Burn X on the XBox.

Heh.

i paid £50 to get my machine modded by an expert - that price includes the chip

he had it for 2 hours and its one of the latest chips

i believe in 'there is always somebody better out there'

i would never try and mod my own consoles - well done for trying though

:D

They specialize in modding. I've personally never used them to mod, but I bought import games from them when they actually sold games on their site.

I remember trying to mod my CDZ back in college. That was a REAL pain... especially since I had no real idea what it was doing. It was a messy job but it worked ok....for a while anyway.

I have the no solder "matrix" modchip, still hard as hell to deal with. Too frustrated right now, if you have a specific question about this I can try and help. Finding emu's and a bios was also pretty hard.
