I just got your email, Sal. It turns out I'll be 6 miles east of you... I shouldn't have a problem finding your place. What time is good for you on the 18th? Drop me off your phone number in an email just in case I need to call you when I'm up there.

It's going to be in North York. PM me or post here if you need any details.

Can't say I know where Kincardine is, though.

PM sent.

I never set a time but since I'm taking the whole weekend off, anyone can come by after noon time and stay all day!

No time frame really, just come when you can. There's a lot of games to keep us busy in the meantime.

:D

I just asked a co-worker and was told you're close to Barrie. I admit that you're about 100 KM away so if it's too much a drive for you, no worries.

PM'd you back... I might as well echo it here.

Anyone going to the Ontario get together going to have a phantom1? I was going to bring my Super Nova/MVS, but my MVS died this past week. SDB/Ninja Master's/Twinklestar Sprites are some great games... definitely worth a few rounds of play if we can find the means to play them.

I'm still planning to go up there from Ottawa. I'll be busing it to downtown and taking the TTC to the Laurence Ave West station.

Let's see, I'll be bringing my NeoCD, 2 sticks, and a bunch of games. Windjammers and League Bowling are definates. Others are possible. I've got MVS carts that I could bring as well if a Phantom is possible.

Since a Saturn might be involved I'll bring Baku Baku and any other fun games + pads. (Radiant Silvergun + my 4 in 1 so Sal can finally see the game.)

Other possibilities are GC Pads + one or two choice games.

I also have to limit what I'm bringing since I'm going to be carrying all this stuff with me. :p My priority will be the Neo. ;)

I'm still in. I'll be bringing A few fighting games (PS2).

Can I bring some drinks/chips (or anything else you want) as well?

Thanks,

P.S. EMAGDNIM: are we still on?

I already have a Saturn so just some pads and the games are fine.

On the Neo front, I have an AES plus both Windjammers and League Bowling, but the CD would make a good extra system. Since I have only 3 TV sets, I was just trying to diversify the games a little bit on each set.

the GC pads are definitely welcome since I have two myself and I'd love to get some 007 Nightfire multiplayer going as well.

Hope some of the other guys originally coming start to post here as well.

Great to hear it, Diavle.

Chips and drinks are unnecessary as I'll have that covered.

As for the PS2 fighters, bring an extra controller since I only have 1 for my system as well as whatever games you wish to bring.

That makes 3 confirmations, let's keep this going!

I'm still in! :)

I'll bring a bunch of Saturn controllers, a 6-player adapter, Death Tank Zwei and Bomberman SS (the two best party games ever :) ).

I've got an MVS 2slotter board that I might bring but since I'm using public inter-city and intra-city transportation it would be really difficult for me to bring it. Although I really want to see SDB so if there isn't any alternatives, I can bring my MVS board and you can bring your SuperNova. (I run on a custom JAMMA Rig and I really can't bring my C=1084 + power supply with me.)

I can bring TSS on NeoCD as well. No biggy there. Along with NeoDriftout and other games.

Oh, and I have to bring Circuit Breakers!!! :) Sal, you have a PS1 tap available?

Sal, you mind if I use your floor to sleep-over? I don't think I want to bug a friend of mine since he lives in Brampton. ;) My other option is a friend downtown but I'm not sure if he'll be around. ;) (Not to mention I don't know how to use the TTC to get to his place.)

Just a wild idea: Do you think someone should contact Ray (!Arcade) about our little get together? Maybe we can try and arrange for a rental/loan of a phantom one and/or maybe something else? I'd be open to chip in for a security deposit towards getting us a Phantom 1 for the weekend. :p It's a long shot, I agree, but maybe we can hammer out some type of deal.

Bishamon-Great to have you with us! That makes 4 confirmations.

TD741-I have a bed in the guest room and a sofabed in the living room. Please feel free to use either of them, the floor is no place for a fellow gaming buddy.

I have coffee and tea for whatever you need to get your morning (afternoon?) in gear. ;)

If anyone else needs a bed for the night, they are welcome to it since I have 1 left.

Also, I suggest you don't bring too much. We'd all like to play everything but it's only a weekend, not a week so don't bring too many things, especially heavy items. Just bring what you can, especially since you'll be using the bus on your journey.

Remember, there's only three TV sets so there's so much we can play at any one time.

EDIT-I don't have a PS1 multitap, but I think I can get a loaner from a friend.

Cool. I'll bring my Super Nova, then. I know you are carrying a lot, but please don't forget the 2 slotter... I'm hauling this from Maryland. :)

I'll bring Twinklestar, Blazing Star, SDB, and Ninja Master's MVS.

Fuck... I think my Hyper is at my friend's house. Would be cool to play that, eh?

I'm leaving for New York here in a couple of hours. I should be in Ontario around the 16th... I'll see you guys on the 18th.

I've got Blazing Star and Ninja Master's MVS as well that I could try and lug if you need luggage space. (Let me know).

I'll get a list of MVS carts to you guys so you can see if there is anything you want to see?

You have 2 sticks? There's a slim chance that I'll be getting a 1-slotter in a cab so if that's smaller, I might bring it instead. If you don't have 2 sticks then I'll bring the 2 slotter and we can use the joyports on it.

Hmm... I might just stick with bringing the MVS instead of the NeoCD then with a few saturns titles. We'll see once I'm done packing everything.

Just bring the essentials, don't go nuts lugging everything, especially since you're not driving.

Besides, certain games I doubt we'll play much. Consider what you WANT to play, but don't go overboard bring items that may only get 5 minutes playtime.

Hehehe... Now may not be the best time to talk about when I cross the border to head over to someplace like DragonCon. :p Usually have 3 bins with me and I'm stuck explaining to the customs officer what "Stormtroopers", "Biker Scouts" and "TIE pilots" are. :p

Anyway, for most things it's just a pad or two and some CD's that I'll bring in a holder. Lessee: One saturn pad + 2 or 3 discs + 4in1 cart, 2 PS2 pads plus Circuit Breakers, 2 GC pads and maybe one or two games for a quick peak. All of the CD games will fit in a holder so they'll take no room at all. ;)

I really DO want to see Super Dodge Ball, so I'm bringing my MVS 2slotter (and maybe sticks if required) along with a few MVS carts UNLESS someone else volunteers to bring an MVS board or phantom one?

Now the only thing in question is bringing of the NeoCD or not. If I happen to get a 1 slot board that is much smaller, then I might stick with a duffle bag, otherwise I might pack things tightly in a suitcase and bring both the CD and the MVS.

That's fine, but understand that Neo won't be the ONLY thing we'll be playing. I don't think I'll have an AES, MVS and Neo CD hooked into all the TV sets. Bring either or but not both. I would just like to keep the games as varied as possible.

Perfectly understood. 'Sides I want a chance to evaluate the XBox with some of the non-budget titles. :p

The main reason I'm gun-ho about bringing the MVS now is because there's finally a chance for me to see SDB in action. ;) Otherwise I wanted to bring the NeoCD as a backup plus give some people a chance to see some of the titles that were CD-Only or rare'ish in AES form along with a backup to the AES so 4 people could play Windjammers to make a "tournament" go by a little faster. :p I'll only bring the system now if there's space. :p

Hmm... Now where is Parrallax Abstraction and the others that said they'd join in? (Time to look into the old thread.)

Edit: Couldn't find old thread. Hope you don't mind that I posted something in General Discussion pointing people here. :p

Not at all, TD. I'm still waiting for Parallax and a couple others to confirm. I actually appreciate the extra thread.

As for systems, bring whatever you wish, I just think it seems to much to be hauling when you're not driving, that's all.
