Do JPN GBA games play on the US GBA? Or do you need a convertor (if there even is one)?

Of course, I'm looking at purchasing the GBA-SP, and that system could be different.

I'm pretty sure they do. My local VG shops sell alot of import GBA games, but there are no converters needed.

There's no region lock-out on the GBA Bobak. So, Feb 15th, 16th, or 17th...I (and I'm sure you Bobak) will be playing Zelda, Metroid, Tactics Ogre, Castlevania: HoD...in the dark

Thats the same for the new SP as well, although the mains charger is obviously regional, the hardware is all-region.
Might not work at minus 50c though wink

And of course obviously, you can't play a game linked game between regioned carts (Can't play a Jap cart against a USA cart).

I got the Japanese GBA and it plays US cartridges with no hassle,so I guess it should be universal.I think I might want to pick up the GBA SP on Feb.14 as well.Good bye, afterburner!

Hehe, I actually got Super Dodge Ball (US) to link with SDB (JP).

It was pretty damn funny, players would randomly drop out and the team names were all screwed up, but it stil played!

How about UK only releases on US GameboyAdvance? Is this possible.
I would think so...there should not be any differences...you should have no problems wink

Wonderful!

Thank for the responses.

I will buy the SP when it comes out here. Although, unlike these forums and playing Solitaire, it will be difficult to hide GBA playing in class.

UK games work fine on a Jap GBA actually I'd almost forgotten that my GBA is a Jap machine as I rarely ever buy import gams nowardays.

Only problem with the GBA-SP is that games like Kirby Tilt-n-Tumble, and other games that use motion-sensing jiggery-pokery, will not work on it.

Big deal eh loco
