Hello,new person here.I got a neo geo pocket with metal slug 1 and it rocks.This is one cool website with real gamers for a change.I been playing old snes and mega drive games for around a year now(gunstar heroes rules).I am saving up for a neo geo aes at present.I want the real retro play.I played metal slug x at a mates house and it blew me away.I am shocked at how little young retro gamers there are here.Any way i was just saying hello and i bet your annoyed with all these types of topics.

Hahah :) . Yeah, I don't really think of the Neo as retro :) . I don't really think of the SNES or Genesis as being retro either. They're just not that old yet ;) .

Retro is more like that old Atari stuff. Stuff that you only want to play for nostalgia's sake ;) .

Anyway, welcome. And if you just want to play Neo games, do yourself a favor and get a supergun. Much much cheaper.

Me, I love my NGH, but I'm just as much of a collector as a gamer :) .

True the neo isn't retro as games are still released.I meant that there 2D and are pure gameplay.True the snes isn't that old yet,but there isn't many games like metal slug or r type anymore made on new consoles.But ikaruga is good on dc

God Damn, how many Newbies are there this past month? This is like to 50th "Hello I'm a newbie" post in the last month! Yeah, I'm relatively new (couple more months to hit a year... woo hoo!) too. Oh well.

Just don't start a Neo Geo Freak thing, be a fanatical system advocate or make a big scene when you leave, and you should get along with everyone.
