Do You Attend School Reunions?

Just curious is all, if anyone other than me doesn't see the point of attending these shindigs that whomever was the head of student council or some shit when you graduated starts mailing off stuff for a reunion.

My droog and I were driving to Sushi the other day and he asked: "Hey man, our 10 year high school reunion is coming up, you gonna' go?" I just looked at him and said...

"Why, none of us were popular, I hate the mainstream more than ever... what would be the point in going?"

He didn't have an answer. I just see those shindigs as a waste of time. What's your thoughts on it? Would you attend your own, or would you be like me and say... "Nah, I'd rather Jerk off."

This was my 5th year out of school, and since the person who is supposed to take care of this shit went from a straight A high school student to a stupid spoiled college drunkard, we never had a class reunion, since she is so fucked up.

Would I have gone? Probably not. I was only in school as comic relief for those fuckers. I brought it on myself by acting like a fool all the time. They'd expect the same now, so I wouldn't be going.

Do you really think that's the reason? Maybe you are scared to see those people again? Think about it....

Fuck no. I didn't like 90% of the people I went to high school with so why the hell would I want to hang out with them for a night?? Besides, I feel no need to go back to high school. I left that shit in the past, where it belongs.

I'm a sophomore in college so I have a years to go before worrying about the whole Reunion deal but already I know the answer.

No.

Its funny, when I graduated I said to myself I would go, but after I got away from that "high" of graduating, I realize I don't want to see my old high school peers again. At least not in an organized fashion.

If I see them at the store on coincidence, so be it. But I don't want to be with them on any preplanned expenditure.

The reason being: I have no one to really care for to meet again. Sadly, but it's the truth and if you deny it it's only going to hurt you more.

If you were to ask me if I would go to a reunion with my ELEMENTARY SCHOOL compadres... NOW THAT would be a different story. I would go in a hot second.

I went to my 10 year reunion and Im still trying to figure out why I went.

I knew a few people there and some knew me that I dont remember in the least , so It was generally a waste of time, most likely I will never go to another one.

No one would even remember who I was anyway, no point in me going.

Here, here. I saw a former H.S. friend for the fist time in over a year today, and he only spoke to me for about a minute, some time of which was to criticize me. He didn't even introduce me to his bitch, who was a real dog. He basically abondoned all his friends to drink and screw; did pretty miserably on a full schlorship to R.I.T. I don't have time for him anymore.

Got the coldest reaction ever a long time ago from another former H.S. friend; I stopped by his house and spoke to him, and he never said a word to me. I just murmured and walked away.

Plus, the girl thing applies as well. I went to school with this one girl, who was INCREDIBLY hot and stacked, with a great ass. Gym class with her felt like a porn movie. She was infatuated with my worst enemy, so I could only hint at wanting to go out with her. She never took me up on it. I used to go to her store at the mall (worked at Bradlee's, resting in peace) just to see her. Damn. She was the hottest girl I've ever seen. And to see your arch rival feel her up...it was just more than I could take. If I met her husband, I'd kill him.

I guess you guys didn't have a very good experience in high school, huh? Well I'm still in high school, currently a senior, and I enjoyed most of my time their. I have always been the popular type usually so it's cool. Many people know me and respect or fear me ;) But seriously it's been good lots of laughs and shit

High school? All I remember was going to some big boring building in the morning, then leaving to go play SF2 at about 10 am....

Seriously, I skipped out on my 10 year reunion this year...all my friends at that time were people I knew from outside school mostly. I had a few buddies I'd play basketball with at lunch, but that was really about it. So a big no for me on the subject of reunions.

Yeah I'm not too keen on reunions.

My 10th anniversary for my high school won't be until 2006, but I was wondering if my grade school (where I was slightly closer to my classmates) held a 10 year one last year. Even though I had friends and was normal for the most part, I really have no desire to see any of them. They're prolly all off married and have kids while I'm do my own single thing.

And if I recieved an invitation to the HS one, I only hung out with like 3 people, so most likely I won't be going.

I went to my 5-year reunion but didn't go to the 10-year one this year (I'm not even sure there was one).

Well, i'm still in school but every couple of days I'll go and pay my visits to my friends and teachers. The whole office calls me Mr.Sexual Harrasment and gives me mean looks.

I'm a senior in high school also. I figure I'm just there to be entertaining to the mass of idiots. They are in an art academy with me. and damn they turn on you every single day. Would I go? NO! I'd rather jerk off 10 times in a row with a pair of metal tongs(or clamps!).

I went to an all boys school. So, not much interest in seeing the people I left behind.

I never even been to a school that had that "reunion" stuff. How would they know where I live anyways... It's not like I live at the same house for 20 years.

I wouldn't go to a high school reunion if the president of the united states had a gun to my head. High school was one of the most fucked up twisted times of my life. I was subjected to look at a bunch of fucking trendy prissy fuckheads all day long. Sure there were the girls and I had my fare share of crushes but, most of the females were pretty much sluts anyways. In otherwords, in order to get a girl you would have to wear Ambercrombie and Fitch and smoke cigerettes...hell no...I aint gonna conform to that bullshit.

okay, sorry about my rant.

But, NO I wouldn't even consider going back to see any of the fuckers.

I wouldn't.

All the people I cared for at all from High School I'm still in contact with. No need to go meet the fuckers who gave me shit for 4 years.
