D2- M2 or 3DO game?

I was sure I heard that D2 was a M2 game but I appear to have found a copy with that says 3DO on the cover, is this a M2 game? or did it come out on a standard 3do? I know it came out on Dreamcast some time later but if this is a M2 game you can be sure I'm buying it, none of this rare crap it proberly would be the only copy...maybe one that escaped into a shop early and was recovered? or maybe I'm just dreaming...but still 3DO or M2 or both?

Thanks, I belive only a handful (and I do honesty mean that) of people have M2 stuff of any description as it was canned just before mainstream production, this should be fun, even if I can't play it
