CAN YOU PLAY IMPORTS ON THE SEGA MEGA CD?

A friend of mine over there wants a new PAL copy of Keio Flying Squadron, and wants to know if he can play it on his US Sega CD?
Me not having the first idea thought I'd ask you guys!
Who are bound to have a simple way to do it!

Can you also tell me if there are any disadvantages, problems doing it etc.

Wow, doesn't anyone play UK/Jap imports on their Mega CD?
Oh well, I'll have to ring round tomorrow!

No it won't work, the hardware is region locked.

Either

A) Get a region cart, though these are expensive and unreliable

B) Buy a PAL Mega Cd and send that as well

C) Download the GENS Sega CD Emulator and run it through that, it runs region free.

Ok this is bugging me:

whats the deal with region with 32x and its carts, can u say use pal 32x on ntsc genesis?

How can you play import 32x cd games, or is this impossible?
