I was looking through the yellow pages and it seems like there are quite a few gameshops around this area. I've been to all of the Starlands. Can you recommend any other places that would sell import/rare/classic titles?

I think Maryland is the home of the former Playtehgames.com. They had a store set up in a mall, but going to their website now (www.playthegames.com), it appears that they've changed their business mission to reflect a heavy interest in modded consoles.

You may want to call them...I think their retail outlet is still open.

If you have visited the annandale starland store, you were also less than 10 minutes from another VG store. Pandora's Cube in Springfield. If you pull out of the Starland shopping center, turn onto Backlick RD and head into springfield. You go through a couple of lights, and then you will see a overpass that curves up in front of you. If you turn right at the light before that curved over pass, and then another right into the shopping center there, you will see Pandora's cube.

I believe they still have a home cart for sale, as well as a few newer KOF carts. Plus Neo Geo CD games.

Personally I put Pandoras Cube in the same group as Buy-Rite, as in stay away! Their stuff is VERY overpriced, and their customer service stinks. I've heard they've got a large selection of anime (read some bootleg) videos, though if that's your thing. I've seen them at various conventions charging insane prices for stuff, like $100 for a NGH Fatal Fury, etc.

Personally the only import store I've been happy with in the area is Starland. I buy about 95% of my imports online because it's cheaper (even including shipping) and generally easier.

yeah Pandora's cube=Satan

Supposedly there is a Starland in Greenbelt like ten minutes away from me that I've never gotten to check out. There is a Power Gamer in Glen Burnie mall. Lots of NGPC stuff and Saturn stuff as well if I remember correctly. I think there is another one in the Owings Mills area I'm not totally sure though.

Man Starland is the SHIT!

I live 2-3 and 1/2 from NOVA/MD, and it's absolutely AGAINST the rules for me leave NOVA without a trip to Starland.
