Uhgg, fucking Hackers.... Am I the only one on this idiotic planet that hates this movie?!? IT's stupid crap! And this is coming from a person who likes stupid crap! Nothing good about it. Take Wargames, "update oh_no " the technology, dumb it down, add idiotic dialog,"hip" it up, and you get Hackerz. If you want to see a good movie, watch Wargames or The Net. Well, maybe not the NET. It's just a better Hacking movie.

And the GIBSON ownz ur ass.

The only thing I hate about it is the guy that played "The Plague". That fag had some REALLY bad lines.

And basically it just captures the entire life of RL hackers. I know cuz my brother bought a CD on how 2 hack once and we looked at it and stuff.

Hell I love that movie... the music rocks. Eventhough all of the hacking in that movie was tottaly fake who cares it was still a good movie.

Man the only thing good/redeeming about the movie HACKERS was the music and it was at the time IMO when Angelina Jolie was hot in that same offish kind of way Britney Murphey has now. Beyond that it was an insult to both the Computer Otaku (Fans of tech) and real life Hackers who would never be so flamboyant of what they are. All of that glitzy "I'm a hacker" stuff was the movie producer's failed attempt at using Cyberpunk conventions in a retarted movie about the sub culture of Hackers and Computer Otaku in general and it's obvious as it also pays homeage to William Gibson, I mean calling a CRAY super computer a "Gibson"... come on man, it's just plain bad. The soundtrack was nice however.

Hackers was TERRIBLE! The only good thing about it (and the main reason I watched it at all) was the CG demo for the (then) upcoming PlayStation game 'Wipeout'. I had read about the CG demo that Psygnosis had done and really wanted to see it.


BTW, Dark City is an awesome movie (though it isn't computer-related). :)

I liked the bit in that Swordfish film where the top hacker dood is totaly blown away by the PC with SEVEN screens! leet!

Oh your brother bought that CD too!! OMG I bought it too...... well actually I downloaded the rom, but yeah real hackers hang out at underground cyberpunk arcade skateparks and listen to techno and stuff.

I thought the movie came out in the fall of 1995. There is no way that that movie cam out in January 1995. If it did then I am way past stupid. Please fill me in.
