Online for GCN

Just curious if anyone knows if there are any titles for the cube that will have online features? Seems kinda sad the only thing going so far is PSO.

Nothing that I know of. You're right, it is sad that there's only PSO. Don't get me wrong, PSO is great on GCN, but damn... there should be more. I hear that a new Animal Crossing and Mario Kart might be online, but you know how that talk goes. It's just talk.

I don't know about 3rd party games, but I think Mario Kart, Animal Crossing 2, and a few other 1st party titles are going to be online.

3rd party.. no word yet.

How great would an advance wars online gamecube game be?

Honestly now...this game doesn't get enough props. It has to be one of the best games i've ever played...and the thought of a console version is insane.

I'm getting the SP tomorrow, and I know thats the first game I'm giving my attention to.

Personally I've been praying for news of an online version of Perfect Dark.

Yep, MS bought Rare.

As for the big N's online plans for GameCube, they have stated in the past that they don't believe the 'time is right' for an online console so they will concentrate their online efforts on their next console after GC.

Man, I have to start reading gaming news sites, I'm way behind in current gaming news.

Thanks for letting me know that, I had no idea.

Guess that's good though, probably a much better chance I'll get to see what I want if it's the hands of an online console like the X-Box.

I finally found a source for GC BBA's, and snagged one. I figure if I'd be able to sell it off if no other online games comes out for the GC and not loose too much money on this gamble. wink

Yes, MS bought out rare. The offered nintendo the chance 1st, but Nintendo declined.. MS picked them up right away.

Rumor has it that many of the Goldeneye/Perfect Dark creators & team members disbanded from Rare... and started this company called Zoonami based out of the UK. <a href="http://www.zoonami.com/" target="_blank">http://www.zoonami.com/</a>

They are creating games soon for the Gamecube, one is called game Zero.. you can see some of the stuff on that webpage. Its small, but very interesting ... Maybe this is Why Nintendo let Rare go?

Back to GCN online games. They are not "concentrating" but they will have more for the Gamecube. Its just a matter of time before they come out. It has been kept somewhat quiet... and I am not sure why.

Expect Animal Crossing 2 and Mario Kart to be fully only..... more 1st party games should be online too.. and I know some 3rd party RPG's ..etc... are in the works for online on the GCN... I just don't have enough info about it right now.
