Ok, since i'm sick of dealing with the lag of CvsS2 and losing EVERY match because of it I'm exchanging it. I'm curious as to what I should consider getting instead. Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be a totally new title as I've only got JSRF and SegaGT now. Kinda thinking of getting DOA3 just because i've got all the others (saturn included) but I know there are other jems out there that could be just as rewarding.

One of my favorite MS games .... midtown Madness will be appearing on the Xbox .. I think sometime soon.

If you like street racing.. its a cool game.

In the 1st one, you could cruise the streets of Chicago. Like the whole CITY was mapped out... it was sweet.

Panzer Dragoon Orta- Smilebit is GOD
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind- You know that feeling you get when you get all pumped for a game, and then a week after you have it, you've mastered the entire game? Well with this game you don't ever have to worry about that. This is a pen and paper style RPG that seems to have no end. I have had it since it's release and the replay value just grows as you play it. Like a fine wine. :)
Phantom Crash - The spirtual sequel to Alien Front Online...
GunValkyrie- Smilebit is GOD
Jet Set Radio Future- Once again, Smilebit is GOD
Sega GT 2002 - Best Racer on the good old X
Halo- Wonder why?
The House of The Dead 3- Awesome light gun game
Indiana Jones and the Emperors Tomb- Awesome game
Battle Engine Aqualia- First game ever to really put you in a full scale war.

I will post more soon...but as for now Im going to go play some games.

Everybody keeps saying I "Orta" get Panzer but I really want to get something that's going to last me a while. Is Orta anything like the other panzers?(multiple paths, evolutions, etc) Anybody wanna give a review?

Oh yeah, I'm really looking at Project Gotham. Looks good and the price is right.

I was looking at PSOX but the fact of starting back at level 1 is NOT PRETTY.

Dude, get Panzer Dragoon Orta. It will last you plenty of time. It has lots of stuff to unlock, including the original Panzer Dragoon.

Project Gotham Racing is a pretty good racer but... there are tons of better racers on the market today.

Thanks capcom fan, but I already own two of the Panzers on my Saturn. I loved them but what turned me off was the fact of how little story was available. However I did enjoy "pandora's box"...Plus I didn't know about the addition of the original Panzer! buttrock I'll HAVE to get it now. Should be fun.

What about Steel Battalion (Tekki)?

What happened? Was this game just not all that?

And what about DoA 3 and DoAX?

Seriously. Some of the games listed were a bit on the odd side. Kakuto Chojin, Silent Hill 3 and Onimusha (played them way back when they were released on the PS2)

The only games that I think look like they warrant the purchase are Mech Assault and Panzer Dragoon, and panzer dragoon is kind of blah to me, partially because it's getting over hyped here, partially because I played the first 2 and saga, and I only liked Saga (because it's an RPG and the PD shooter style isn't for me). And then the only reason I'd play PDO is to get back some of the PDS euphoria. Ah...

um my dude... Kakuto Chojin was never released on PS2. Silent Hill 3 isn't out either...but i assume you meant Silent Hill 2 so i wont be an ass about it. And Genma Onimusha is quite different to the PS2 warlords version. Still, these game are still good, so i put them down (well SH2 and GM anyways).

Sorry, just waking up.

Kakuto Chojin I meant was odd because it's a shit game, but was expected to be cool. And yeah, Silent Hill 2. wink Thanks for not roasting me there.

Only games I can really recommend are:

Halo (of course)
Dynasty Warriors 3 (unless you have it on PS2)
Crimson Sea (beware, this game is DECENT, not great)
Steel Battalion

Why can I only recommend these? Because they are the only games on the system I have enjoyed playing.

And before I get FLAMED out the ass, I will have you know I own a GCN/PS2 and they only just barely get more play than the X-Box. There just aren't that many games these days, for ANY system, that gets my blood pumping. I find myself enjoying the time I spend with my MVS/Super Gun more than any of the newer stuff. I guess I'm just fucked in the head or something.

I am anxiously awaiting Dynasty Warriors 4 in March though...

My brother is a fucking freak, I THINK he opened like 85-90% of all the stuff in about 10-12 hours, until he got tired of playing it. He even went through the original PD. I don't know if 10-12 hours for 90% completion is all that "fast", but I'd never be able to do it.

I am going to have to throw my vote in for PDO too. Great game.
Another GREAT game is Morrowind. I spent over 200 hours on it and never even completed the "main" goal (if you can call it that).
Splinter Cell is really good
You have JSRF
GunValkery is Good (But PDO is better)

One tip... even at the 9.99 price tag AVOID BRUCE LEE AT ALL COSTS -endtransmission-

I all but wanted to slit my wrists after playing Morrowind for 30 minutes. In that time I got my character picked and setup then wandered around the town for less than a minute before I was bored almost into a coma.

Morrowind is great, you jerk.

Long live the fork and pillow thieves.

As far as tekki is concerned, I bought
it, sat down, played it for a week and
now it sits on the shelf. It is a good
game but not worth the price of playing
it.

Splinter Cell, great game, I can play this over and over even after finishing it. Don't remember the last game that give me this kind of feeling :)

Ghost Recon, very good but controlling a squad can be tricky

Aggressive Inline, if you like a very well done Tony Hawk clone, without getting TH4

Steel Battalion, if you can find one, there is nothing like it.

Robotech, good shooter, good graphics, a sleeper hit

NFL2k3, NHL2k3 if you are into sports.

Rallisport Challenge for your racing needs, curious to try Colin McCrae 3.

Morrowind might be great if you don't have a life and want to live in front of you TV.

Tekki looks cool as hell just didn't have the money to get one when it was released.

I still stand as a supporter of Kakuto Chojin. If people would stop calling it a watered down Tekken after playing the game for only like 5 or 10 minutes and actually played a little deeper into the game they'd realize that Kakuto Chojin has more originality in it than Tekken has ever had.

Kakuto Chojin isn't a great game, but it's pretty damn good in my opinion. It's too bad Dream Publishing always gets the shaft...

Didn't MS snatch this game off the shelves? I remember a while back I was on the ASP.NET boards and some guy was talking about boycotting MS products because of this game. Something about disrespecting the Koran.

Anyway, the only reason I was hesitant to get PDO was because i'm NOT a shooter fan. I still remember when I got Radiant Silvergun for my saturn and returned it a couple of days later. Shooting is nice but I much prefer either a good fighter, platformer, or rpg (I NEED another FFTactics that's not on the GBA!) I may look into Xenosaga but right now i'm looking for Xbox games.
