To Steve, and other platforming junkies...

Get Vexx, you won't regret it. The level and puzzle design is fantastic. In many ways, this game is a cut ABOVE R&C, J&D, even Haven. This game is all about PLATFORMING. Sure, Ratchet & Clank looked amazing, but it was way more about combat then this game. It's so satisfying when you complete a task in Vexx, too. (Collecting WraithHearts, instead of bolts or orbs) Each World is very vast feeling. You'll often be platforming, hundreds of feet above the ground level...a really cool world. Meteors flying around, crashing into shit. You can even find sundials and speed up the time of day in real time. I picked up the Xbox version, for the graphics...it looks quite nice. There is some frame drop on occasion, but nothing that will really bother you. Check it out guys.

As for Haven, damn the Hero Stones were pretty easy to obtain, EXCEPT for that incredibly annoying hang glider mission. That was so hard for me. I kept failing....

I'm now into the cave of the alien spiders. My next mission is to locate the Alien Queen...

Yeah, no problem. Burnout, Vexx was released on all 3 platforms on Feb.11, so it's available on PS2 right now...if thats what you were wondering.

Is Vexx really better than R&C? I'm loving that game right now. Good stuff. That and Shinobi keep me pretty occupied .

Hey Joe. Yeah, I still lurk about wink I really am so impressed with this game. I just got finished with this really well designed puzzle in the 5th world, called The Bellow. The whole world is in this huge bubble...(think Trident's level from Eternal Champions) Area's of the world are both inside, and outside of the bubble...you can see this giant whale creature and schools of fish swimming about on the inside, through several layers of transparencies. It's insane. Gameplay wise, I think it blows R&C out of the water, and I LOVE Ratchet & Clank. I gotta go play Vexx right now. You guys should do the same...

It's gotten such poor reviews from the gaming press that I'm suprised to hear such high praise for it. Honestly, I probably won't get it. Not cause I do believe you.. but because I've got such a huge backlog of games I haven't even opened yet. I really should get to those first . I've got enough unopened games to keep me occupied for the next few years .

Vexx is great. Unfortunately for me they did not include the ability to reverse the way that the stick manipulates the camera/perspective.
