Basically, I want to include terms like AES, MVS, SuperGun, etc., that people might not know if they are new to the scene. If it works out well, I want it to be available to any Neo-Geo related site that might want to put it up.

Basically, the purpose of this thread is for people to list terms that they feel might be good inclusions for the Glossary. Just post your terms in this Thread, as well as any ideas you might have for improving upon the idea.

I would like to suggest two things:

1. Add pictures

2. Make sure to add the differences between the many 1-slots.

At that point, it would cease to a Glossary and become an Encyclopedia. Not necessarily a bad idea, though. I am mainly looking to compile a list of the buzzwords in the scene, to help newer people understand what we are talking about.

Retard. I e-mailed Shawn about such an idea weeks before you ever announced your Gamer's Glossary. Later, I found some old posts of Bobak!'s suggesting the same thing. Besides, the idea that I had, and I believe Bobak!'s was the same, judging from his posts, was a legitimate glossary, not just a compilation of smart-assed comments.

Bio, you really can dish it out, and you REALLY can't take it, can you?
If you can compile this useful glossary, more power to you, but I'd bet dollars to pesos that you can't refrain from being an egotistical assclown in your glossary.

What are you talking about, fucktard? I prove your statement to be at best, misinformed, and at worst, an outright smear attempt. It appears to be you that cannot take it.

Ok so I'll quit being a pain now. =o) Bio, we actually all want to see your glossary finished, do you think you'll have it completed any time soon?

Depends. I am working more, now that it is Summer. I want to contact Robi15 and Bobak! as well for their input, since they both had similar ideas, get their input or make it a joint project. Basically, how far should one go with a Glossary? Should we include S-Video in it, since Neo-Geo's can be modded for S-Video, and some people might not know what S-Video is? Or should we limit it strictly to terms that have direct correlation to Neo-Geo? Do not want to make it too broad, but not too narrow either.

My suggestion is to be narrow, at least at first. You can always add more as you go. Definitely put a link on it where you can be e-mailed for suggestions.
I do not think things such as S-video should be covered, unless you want to actually define what the s-video cable or mod will do for you Neo Geo.

Well, Mod Job would be covered, so if I define what a Mod Job adds to it, should I then define what is added? S-Video I can see, but I would hope to Hell there is no one out there that does not know what Stereo is.

Yes, I will probably start out narrow, with closely related items and work outwards from there. Neo-Geo Glossary V1.0, as it were.

That sounds like a good plan, Bio. No, I wouldn't cover terms such as stereo... lol Some things you just pray that people know what they are.

Definitely get in touch with the people that originally started the idea, they might even have ideas they held over that you might be given.
