How do you make her happy... or rather, what do you do to make her happy? What is a regular thing that you do to make her happy? Relationships aren't forever, but what you do in them shows your inner selflessness or inner selfishness. Ambivalence is forbidden.

the first inner selfishness is supposed to be "inner selflessness".

You do what you can though you have to draw the line somewhere. There can't be just you giving. Though I speak from no practical long term experience its true for any realtionship.

Whatever you do (within reason, of course) should make her happy. Of course, this is not always the case. You can do her favors but I don't recommend giving her complete control. You should give her plenty though. HIDDEN, I disagree that you should make her the center of your universe unless the feeling is mutual. I beleive that one should keep his priorities in sight, even when the girl is the top priority. One should not have such a narrow plain of vision. Also, if you place the standards up so high, you may set yourself up to fail. I figure, to make her happy, you could just do what you feel is right without smuthering her. I still feel that you shouldn't have to MAKE her happy. If she's sad though, you need to be the crutch, even though I don't like that term.

In essence, if she's sad, make a face and let her smile or laugh. If she's happy, jsut share the feeling. Well said, the girl in mind should like you for yourself not for your mask that you put on when you see her. Because that mask has to come off sooner or later.

Treat her with respect, listen to her, tell her you lover & mean it and do things that make her happy(within reason obviously). I've followed these and I'm in a great relationship w/ a girl I was friends w/ since freshman year of Highschool(I'm a senior now). Oh yeah, I agree with Wan-Fu. Warrior if ya give them everything they want everytime the want something it'll just get bigger. The last thing I'm sure you'd want is your girl to become a spoiled brat because you spoiled her.

The sad truth is that there isn't a catchall for all relationships. As individuals each person in the relationship needs to find the things that makes the other happy...and support them. It's not easy to do because it seems that inherently people are greedy and don't want to give up their own ways of life.

Relationships are Compromises. If you aren't willing to make them, then you may not be in the right relationship or you may not be mature enough to be in one at all.

Treat her as if she's the most important person in your life. Listen to her, respect her and support her even if what she wants maybe wrong (people sometimes need to make there own mistakes). Always make an effort, don't let things slide cause it will catch up with you in the end if you don't. Never ever say she's fat even if she holding a note from the doctor saying she is obese and the floor is giving in under her weight(remember use the line "Your just retaining water"). Compliment her on her appearance and the effort she makes with her hair/make-up/nails etc. Tell her you love her at least 3 times a day. Also have respect for yourself. If you give youself totally, some girls will take advantage of this and use it against you. The only time you do is when she does the same. These are the things I have learned with my girlfriend from the last 6 years! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Well, like it's been pointed out, there is no catch-all perfect thing to do or say to keep a girl's interest in you. Each girl is an individual, but there are some common traits.

For example, don't be too negative about things. Don't go overboard in making fun of the things she may like (even if it happens to be a gawddamn Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock movie) like you might with your buddies. Be a listening ear, but don't cling to every word she utters like it should be inscribed with your blood on parchment. Don't waste your time second-guessing her actions or wondering what her ulterior motive might be in saying or doing something.

As for things to do for her, and again each girl is to be evaluated individually, but I've found that most girls dig massages. Rub her shoulders, rub her back, rub her feet. No big deal really, nothing strenuous on your part, but girls usually really like it because it's two things: loving attention, and relaxing for her (especially after she gets off of work or comes home from school). Flowers are a good thing too, but most girls would rather you just pick up a single rose than a bouquette (sp?). Why? Well, a single rose tends to show "from the heart" whereas a bouquette can be misconstrued as "buying her off". And finally, something else you can do for her is not try to do for her. That is, let her do for herself. Turn on the subserviance sometimes, but for the most part just back off. Overkill in the favor department might get you tagged as a doormat real quick.

Just some pointers I've found to be successful at times. Hope this helps a little...
