I know that website operator. Anyway your question involved cps-3 protection. The protection comes from the cart that is inserted into the cps-3 mb. The cart provides the necessary decryption so that the game may first start. It also blocks against pirated cds. The cart has one of those infamous capcom suicide batterys in it.

That's about all I know. To be honest I would highly recommend that you stay away form the cps-3 system. Stick to the dreamcast versions. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
