Should I leave this guy a Negative ?Opinions.
This is his checkout letter to me..

The buyer included the following message: I will get a money order my next trip to the Post Office, 1/16/03. Sorry I didn't catch money order only, otherwise I wouldn't have bid. I don't trust you with money order only and it will reflect in my feedback.

Auction.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3103417049&ed=1041612064&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOT:US:3

My letter back to him..

Ok,So let me get this straight you are going to send a money order on
1/16/03...How else were you going to pay for the auction....and when.?
I don't use Paypal...
I have all positive feedback and I have always only taken Money orders
because they are traceable..
I have a 7 to 10 limit on payments for my auctions.
If you were to send payment on 1/16/03 that would be 12 days from now.
It's going to take you 12 days to get to the post office?
I don't rip people off..
Please let me know if you cant pay for this auction within the allowed
time(7-10 days..
So I can relist it.
Read here again please..

I accept Money orders only.To be paid in 7 days or less.I ship USPS Media
mail on the same day payment is received.I notify winning bidder when
payment is received, any questions E-mail me at. PS2XBXGC@optonline.net
.......................................Due to a Non paying/replying bidder
that I'm about to Give a Negative too and Report, I have to Relist this
item...... Please do not Bid if you are not gonna pay for the auction.I will
report and leave negative feedback.Due to Non paying bidders I have to write
this......... Winning bidder to get in touch with me within 2 days...

This is the second time I listed this and I just keep getting bad luck..
I just posted about my bad luck with Ebay (Non paying bidders)
What should I do..?
Should I wait?
I don't know if he's going to even answer my email.
Should I threaten him by telling him I'm gonna leave him a Negative?
If you look at what he has won lately it's these tins.
Do you think he may have found a better deal and is trying to get out of it.
Can't people read..
I'm disgusted.. help

That's bullshit dude...and one of the reasons I despise EBay and Paypal. I'd wait for payment, then unload with some negative feedback. The only downside is that you're almost certain to get negative feedback yourself. One of the reasons I stick with MO's is that it really forces me to be abolsutely sure if I want something. I think with Paypal its just too easy, and that's why you have this epidemic of fucking flaky buyers. People just bid willy nilly. I'm still sitting on a US DBZ GT Final Bout for PSX because of a fucking deadbeat bidder. One of the reasons I really like dealing with members on this forum...people have to be straight up with each other here...or else risk being renamed 'Mud' with the swiftness.

That right there is what I would be concerned with. Sounds like this homo has every intention of fucking your feedback up regardless of what you do.

I guess the question is: Do you let him putz around till middle of the month to determine if he has any intention of sending teh money to you?
Or do you say fuck it, give him negative feedback and then wait for his response.

Tough call.

I would be inclined to wait (if you can) and see what he does. If he gives you negative feedback, I would jump his ass with some wicked bad feedback. Perhaps an html link in the feedback pointing to a site dealing with his stoopidness.

Good luck!

Me personally I would leave feedback stating this guy doesnt like to pay up in a timely manor, I would also think about telling him to srcew off and relisting the item since this would really piss me off as well !

I think negative feedback is in order , just be sure to explain why you posted it that way when he gets all pissed off, that way the reason for your feedback is clear to all others.

I'd wait the 10 days you said you'd normally go til, and if you don't have a MO in your hands by then I'd neg him and relist. Of course do the non paying bidder thing so you don't pay the listing fee again.

Part of the problem is the whole "negative feedback" thing. He's using it to try and "blackmail" you into taking a different form of payment by telling you because of MO, he is leaving bad feedback.

I say report his cunt ass to Ebay. OR you could wait until the 60th or 90th day and leave Negative right at the LAST possible minute so as to make it so he can't do the same for you. Assuming doesn't leave feedback anyway.

It's his own stupid fucking ass's fault for being an iliterate FUCK. I always bid on the shit I want regardless of payment methods (excpet for a Cash Only deal... FUCK that) becuase either way you get what you want.

How far from a post office does this cock sucking fuck live? Probably no more than 10 miles. 10 miles @ 60 miles an hour= 10 minutes. Then 5 minutes to pay for and send the MO. 15 minutes. Then 10 minutes back to his house. Barely 30 minutes "wasted" for an item HE wanted. Actually, he'd probably be stopping by McDonald's to feed his FAT ASS, so add an hour to that trip...

It's tough. As loopz said, he may very well leave negative feedback on you if you do it to him. HOWEVER, you need to leave feedback on him so he doesn't screw with others, too.

Can't you leave a comment to someone's feedback they leave for you? So if someone leaves you negative (which may happen) you can say "he did this because I did it to him, he screwed me a bit" sort of thing? I don't know.

Good luck,
Spike

((UPDATE)).
The Email he sent to me today..
He says he's a FED..but he can't Read and write for shit.
>>>>
To be perfectly clear, and so that there is no misunderstanding, due to my work , the next time I am free to get to a money order source is 1/16/03. If this is too late for you, I understand and you may relist at your whim. However, please be assured I have always paid my auctions in full. This does not relieve me from the fact I have been burned on money order auctions in the past and I do not trust money order auctions, yours included. Your positive feed backs are just as good as mine.
Although I can't tell you the nature of my work, as I wouldn't ask you yours, I can tell you that, do to the nature of my work, I cannot get to a mail order source in the time you specify. It's a Fed' thing. However, if you can be patient, you will receive your funds.

Again, I'm sorry I didn't catch the mail order only, as I usually only do on line payments. This item was to be for my son's birthday; it's hard to get out to buy. You will have to read thru the lines as I'm sure someone else is. Hopefully this clarification will reach you.>>

This guy spooks me with that last line(You will have to read thru the lines as I'm sure someone else is)
WTF does that mean?

Thanks everyone for helping me with this..

Fed or not I'd Sam Fisher is ass from the shadows man... I'm not above travelling to where ppl are to kick some shit when I don't get my stuff. If you specifically said "Money Order" and they can't fucking read then you have the right of principle to take to the war path. Right now I'm fuming off 2 business transactions myself with ppl... I'm just not sure whether to go postal with the USPS or with the sellers. I always give ppl a month and a half lee way... then I Storm Ride on general principle or find a way to right the wrong in a way that is just as effective as Shit Kickin or takin' Scalps, but without leaving my house. I get this shit all the time when I sell stuff here in the Forums Chris1... I specifially say in CAPTIALS... I ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS ONLY, and the first thing I get is a person asking me if I accept Pay Pal? I always want to say: "Scroll up and read the posting!" but I'm generally too nice for that. I'd say give this fucker a negative feedback, and if you don't get payment then seek legal council first... if they can't do anything Storm Ride, Recon the area so you know the terrain... then fuck the dude up. Put em' in the hospital for 6 months but don't kill them. Ppl with no ethics have no rights.

I always get these type of people.

I have the moeny.. I am sending it asap. 2 weeks later.... I am sending it asap.

Well....... because of this crap... it has prompted me to a new policy..... a many have followed it pretty good. I offer them a way out of the transaction... I say give me X dollars for my listing fees and I will let you go on this... no feedback harm will be done...etc.

it tends to work pretty good.
Also, make sure you set a timeline in your description.... IE "The buyer must pay within 12 days, otherwise action will be taken."

i would say wait until the 16th

then get confirmation, ebay gives you 90 days to leave feedback

i know he is gonna pay outside your window but give him the benefit of the doubt, after the 16th if there is still no payment confirmation then file a fraud report and claim your fees back and re-list

at least he has e-mailed you to tell you of his situation

even if he is a super spy for the nsa ;) ;)

In this case I would make AT LEAST a neutral comment saying "beware that, due to his job, he won't be able to send money when you want". lol, that should be funny enough. :)

I'd say wait and see if you get your money... If you don't see it by Feb 1st... YEAH I KNOW THAT IS A LONG TIME BUT... if you don't see it by Feb, post a negative and just count it as experience learned. There is still a lot of good on ebay, it just sucks when you deal with the bad... I am doing the same thing right now. I have an outstanding deal for something I purchased on Dec 3rd... I don't know if I will ever see it, but the guy is trying to work with me... That is why I haven't filled a fraud report yet, he hasn't done the dissapearing act yet. We will see... I say, give this guy a little more time, then add him to your blocked bidders list in the future.

Another "for my sister's/brother's/son's/daughter's birthday/holiday/barmitzvha" moron. I've come across more than my share. If you want to buy someone a present, fine, but don't make an excuse of it. All the more reason payment should be timely. Idiots.

And yeah, I'm sure there is a multi-government conspiracy going on with this guy. Please.

Simple. Wait for payment as long as you can. When (if) you receive payment, ship the item to him but withhold your feedback UNTIL he leaves you feedback. Normally sellers are SUPPOSED to leave feedback first (and I usually do as a seller), but in this case its best to just wait. If he negs you, neg back. If he leaves a positive you're OK, but honestly I wouldn't leave him ANY feedback in return. Or neutral at best.

As for the "Fed" thing and all that, he probably cleans toilets at the local FBI office . . . and works the graveyard shift. That might explain why he can't "get to a post office" sooner!
