Just for background, I hate Miami AND Ohio State equally...

Certainly is tough to see Ohio State get the win because of a completely blown call though. It was a *great* game to watch, but in true college football tradition, something got screwed up to challenge the legitimacy of another national championship game.

Yah. that pass interferance call was fucked up. I feel sick that OSU won because of that shit.

Why, the only thing wrong with the call was that they called it pass interference instead of holding.

Anyways, Fuck Miami.

Not sure where that happened... I tried hard to justify it (I wanted the game to keep going), but man, there was nothing there to warrant any call on such a huge play. There's gotta be no doubt in a situation like that.

You really couldn't see it well on any of the replays they showed, but pretty as soon as the ball was in the air, the Miami player had a hold of the receiver's jersey. When the ball got there, there was nothing done wrong. Hence holding instead of pass interference.

And Dan Fouts is one of the shittiest announcers there is.

A real 16-team college FB tourney is a MUST. No more of the Bullshit Compromise System. Was anyone playing better ball at the end of the year than USC? Nope. I'd bet my money on them against either the 'Canes or the Buckeyes. This is why college hoops remains the most compelling and awesome sports spectacle every March.

I don't buy the fact that there was a penalty worth calling, but I can't argue with this statement. Believe me, I tried hard to find something there so that I wouldn't be in agreement with him.

Whatever, though - it'll just make it funnier when the defending national champs go, like, 8-5 next year.

They didn't show it on any of the replays, the defender got turned around and held on to the Ohio Player to help get himself turned back around. The replays were only showing once the ball got there, and at that point, the Miami player didn't appear to be doing anything wrong.

There was a penalty there, IMO. The thing they fucked up on was calling it so late.
