I was just wondering if there are any Transformers fans here and wanted to ask three questions.

1)What is your favorite Transformers series?

2)Who's your favorite character(s)?(Can be from the comics, anime, cartoon, etc.)

3)Do you know the Japanese names of the Transformer characters and groups?

My favorite Transformers series is the Beast Wars series and my favorite Transformers are Cheetor and Hot Rod. I know that Optimus Primal's Japanese name is Convoy.

only the 1st 2 series counts IMO:
the original series
the movie (introduction of galvatron and unicron)
the series after the movie (optimus returns from the dead, unicrons floating head)

faves:
Jazz
Prowl
Hound
Dinobots
Soundwave and the tapes esp. Ravage.
Optimus Prime
Devastator

3) i knew most of the originals by their toynames/group.

i liked what Takara/Sunrise did when they took the TF series and formed the Brave Series shows (Exkaiser, BaanGaan, GaoGaiGar etc). the TF variations created after that weren't all that great, although the beast wars series (the one where Megatron is encased in a shell) did have good writing to them.

Born and bred Transformers fan. I've been into them since '84 (I was five then, that makes me...Old now  ). My favorite TF toy is Mirage, favorite TF character is Megatron (G1 Megs, none of that Beast Wars shit for me). I think my collection stands at arond 130-150 or so Transformers (Including the biggest one of 'em all, the 2 foot tall Brave Maximus). Still on the lookout for Predaking, but I don't have $300+ to spare at the moment, and, yes, the new Transformers Armada is Asstastic.

HAH

I like the Original Transformers all 3 seasons, Beast Wars, & Beast Wars 2. I detest Beast Machines.

I like Megatron, Starscream, LioConvoy, Galvatron, & Inferno.

I don't remember the Japanese name of the Transformers characters. Look them up on the web.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to have faith in a kid named "Rad". I bailed after they introduced the Star Saber into the series (only the fact that the original VAs from Beast Wars were in that series kept me going up until then). But on the bright side, at least the toys look cool.

The original Transformers (all three seasons) and Beast Wars (again, all three seasons) were my favorite series. Beast Machines was lame (too much gloom and doom, not enough action; final episode was ridiculous, too), RID was terrible (hearing one of the Autobots say "I love you, man!" did it for me). Favorite Transformer is Optimus Prime (and all his many incarnations).

I'm a fan of the original cartoons, and Jazz and Starscream are my personal favorites.

And ever since I saw Bumblebee wearing a Fubu logo I can't get enough of him! XD

TRANSFORMERS!!!

Now ure talking me language.

Ive been a fan from the start, have 6 original videos(episodes from 1 -3 ), Movie DVD, the entire Super God Masterforce series on VCD and near on 75 toys(last i got was in like 1992 though).

Ive got the feature length pilot of Armada which i dont mind too much, but i am a diehard.

Ive also got the rare Scramble city 1 episode, and the only ever released TF:Zone episode(which is awsome)

Ive seen some of TF:Victory, which is the best IMHO, and i will get the series soon.

I cant believe what they have done with these Takara releases, the translations are so shit its unreal(Metroplex called Philip???---did they do ANY research at all??)

edit:as for my fave transformer, its a tie between Sunstreaker and the original Optimus Prime, the scene in the movie after he says "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost",up until the end of his fight with him is possibly my fave in film history, perhaps save something from BTTF or Ferris Buellers day off.

While I do love Generation 1 Transformers... and it was a tie between Megatron and Convoy, my all time fave show with them is TRANSFORMERS VICTORY!

Star Sabre is the fuckin' shit, and DeathSaurus rules as an evil robot. BTW, the original names of the shows sides is Cybertron (Autobots) and Destron (Decpticons)... I like the Autobot name better but I liked Destron over Decpticons. Transformer Zone is okay too, I still have that on an old VHS cassestte somewhere.

You just gotta loe the Zone theme tune best.

The Victory tune is ace too in a harder way, but the cheeze of Zone makes it a winner.

Shame they didnt continue cause Dai Atlus seemed like a good leader

In Japanese Guy's Singing Voice:
"Today... Tomorrow... Turan-Suh-Fomah Zone!"

I only have one episode of T.Z. that I recorded off an old SATX community cable access show called "Anime Review" from like late '91 and the tape has some distortions, do you know if this was the only episode or was it a regular series?

There is only one episode of Zone. The rest of the story was continued in mangas.

This is true, thogh the big Transformer sites claim that about 6 shows were produced, shame no one ever saw them!

What i do find funny and need to see is the second part of the jap only "Scramble City" which apparently was filmed with toys done with stop motion capture!!

I wait to see it,Seibertron were meant to have it up soon, but no joy
